Strengthening Partnerships in Care and Healthcare Education

Alana Kaye College (AKC) was pleased to welcome the Asia-Pacific Caregiver and Healthcare Training Center (APC&HTC) to our Makati City office for a meaningful partnership visit and discussion on opportunities for collaboration in education, training, and workforce development.

AKC’s Country Manager – Philippines, Arvin Alcantara, warmly welcomed the APC&HTC team and led the meaningful exchanges, together with the AKC Philippine team. The discussion explored potential areas of collaboration and how both organisations can work together to expand access to quality Australian education and training for learners and professionals in the Philippines.

We were delighted to welcome Maria Zarina Matorre and Nicole Bermas from APC&HTC. The discussions reflected a strong sense of partnership and a shared commitment to creating meaningful learning and professional development opportunities, particularly in the care and healthcare sectors.

At AKC, we believe that strong partnerships are built through shared goals, open conversations, and a genuine commitment to creating positive outcomes for learners and the workforce.

We thank the APC&HTC team for visiting our Makati office and for the productive and inspiring discussions. We look forward to continuing our conversations and exploring opportunities to take this partnership forward.

Together, we look forward to building more pathways for quality education, skills development, and professional growth.

🇵🇭 Supporting the Growth of Transnational Education in the Philippines

Alana Kaye College (AKC) continues to advance its Transnational Education (TNE) initiatives, strengthening collaborations with institutions committed to developing globally competitive Filipino professionals.

Led by AKC Country Manager–Philippines, Arvin Alcantara, the Philippine team recently held an exploratory meeting with Filipino Labiste, Administrator and Officer-in-Charge of MMS Development Training Center Corporation in Baguio City.

As a TESDA-registered technical-vocational institution, MMS Development Training Center Corporation has established itself as a provider of industry-focused training programs in healthcare, caregiving, language education, and other skills development courses that prepare learners for both local and international employment opportunities. The institution is committed to equipping individuals with practical competencies and globally relevant skills through quality technical and vocational education.

The meeting explored opportunities to integrate Transnational Education (TNE) into technical and vocational education, creating pathways for internationally recognized qualifications, enhanced workforce mobility, and lifelong learning. Through TNE, learners can benefit from global academic partnerships, industry-aligned training, and internationally benchmarked programs while remaining connected to local education providers.

This engagement reflects AKC's commitment to expanding access to world-class education and supporting the Philippine government's vision of developing a highly skilled, globally competitive workforce through meaningful international collaboration.
