Cromwellians have always been good at getting behind each other, and current student Izzy Ferris is keeping that spirit going by lending a hand this UQ Giving Day.

We’re aiming to raise $10,000 for the Cromwell College Residential Scholarship fund, including $5,000 in Foundation matching.

When Sonya and Sonia met at Cromwell in 1989, neither knew they were beginning a friendship that would last more than 35 years.

It is with sadness that we share the passing of Cromwellian alumni Shane Edwards (1978-1979). Shane studied Human Movement during his time at CC. He passed aged 67, after a 12-month battle with motor neurone disease.

Edwards was managing director at the Broncos from 1995 to 2002 when the club won a Super League grand final and two NRL premierships.

Our thoughts and condolences are with Shane’s wife Sue, his family and loved ones at this difficult time.

Some stories really do come full circle.

This morning we welcomed Erin and Dave back to Cromwell after they flew in from Charleston, USA. Originally from America, the pair met here at Cromwell as international students, and more than 20 years later they’re back visiting Australia with their two boys, celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary.

It was so special to have them stop by and share a little of their Cromwell story with us. Wishing them a wonderful holiday in Australia, and congratulations on 20 years together. ❤️

What a special night at our Brisbane Alumni Reunion!

The room was buzzing with reconnection, stories, laughter and memories, with some alumni seeing each other again for the first time in decades. Watching old friendships pick up exactly where they left off was a beautiful reminder of the lasting connections formed at Cromwell.

Thank you to everyone who came along, shared stories, introduced old friends, and made the evening what it was. We loved hearing where life has taken you since your college days and seeing the Cromwell community come together once again.

We’re already looking forward to the next one.
