ATPL NAVIGATION LECTURE COURSE
April 20, 21, 22 + after class tutorials.

Most students use diagrammatic methods to solve Navigation exercises.
Provided you have time these methods work well.
Unfortunately, exam time limits mean that students tend to rush and make errors with diagrams. Mathematical formulae are easier to execute under time pressure. Most importantly, the answers are exact.

I will be conducting regular tutorial days in Brisbane. These are free for all current students.

After course assistance is available free of charge.

Below is a brief summary of the course content:

Many students are aware that the standard 727 performance manual used in Flight Planning contains integrated fuel burn tables. Most students never use them. The tables allow you to directly convert Air Distance into Fuel Burn or the reverse for PNR calculations. They also work equally as well for the reverse flight plan. The answers are exact, no mid-zone weight guessing required. Also error checking is important. You will be able to double check your answers as you work through the questions.

After course assistance is available free of charge.

I will be conducting regular tutorial days at Saint Lucia campus. If you need individual assistance please arrange your preferred times.

These are free for all current students.

The course is also available by correspondence if students are unable to attend the lecture course. Note that Formula for ATPL Performance and Loading is included for free for students enrolled in the Flight Planning Course.

More details are attached.
