The UTS Juris Doctor is an internationally recognised graduate-entry qualification for non-law graduates. As an Australian Qualifications Framework Level 9 master's qualification, this course meets the academic requirements for admission as a lawyer in NSW for graduates who have successfully completed a first degree.

Our UTS Bachelor of Laws has a clear-eyed focus: the law,
how to apply it, and how to turn it into a career. As one of
Sydney’s leading law degrees, this course will help you build
professional capabilities in all things law, as well as the
‘soft’ skills (problem solving, analytical thinking, spoken
and written communication) required to get ahead in
the workforce.

You’ll become well-versed in the mechanisms – and quirks
– of the Australian legal system, and you’ll gain core skills in
common law principles before you specialise. And if you’re
really set on starting your career as a legal practitioner in
