UNSW Engineering Society

As the only constituent engineering society, our member base consists of all students in the nine schools of the UNSW Faculty of Engineering.

Founded in 2011, the UNSW Engineering Society (EngSoc) is the leading engineering society officially endorsed by the UNSW Faculty of Engineering, as well as Arc (UNSW’s umbrella student organisation). We aim to develop capable, well-rounded engineering graduates, with strong extracurricular involvement and industry knowledge. The Careers, Programs, Publications, Sponsorships and Socials portfolios

within our society work together to further this goal by:
- closing the gap between students and industry,
- assisting the career and professional development of students, and
- encouraging an enriching social environment for all students. Each and every year, we're excited to bring students bigger and better events ranging from our social events to something that will give you a kick-start to your career. We've got a variety of events and programs lined up for the new year such as the sell-out EngSoc Ball, High Tea with Industry as well as our coveted EUP and ACE programs.

We’re excited to share an exclusive Hatch opportunity: Westpac Technology Internship 2026.

This is a paid internship for final-year students who are curious about technology and want hands-on exposure to enterprise tech at Westpac.

Key details:
- Starts 6 July 2026,
- Sydney CBD and/or Kogarah offices,
- Full-time for the first 2 weeks, then 2 days/week alongside study
