FIRST Team 3132

FIRST Team 3132 STEM for Everyone. Everywhere. The students are from the greater Sydney area who are all eager and determined to achieve our goals.

Team 3132, otherwise recognized as The Thunder Down Under, is the first Australian Team to participate in the FIRST® Robotics Competition. Our team consists of approximately sixty students and mentors who share the same passion, ambition and commitment to inspire others about the vision of FIRST® around the country and grow STEM. It includes goals like building a robot and making a difference in o

ur world. The Thunder Down Under has numerous sub-teams that work together. These include: Mechanical, Controls, Software, Business, Animation, Systems, Electronics and Web. For cross functional communication we have a new addition to 2011, the SLC team (Student Leadership Council) who are representatives from each of the sub-teams. Our mentors provide guidance for our students, in order for them to grow, learn and build a functional robot. Together as a team, we hope to innovate, improve and inspire the world.

The Hall Of Fame (HOF) will be reviewing FIRST Impact Award submission reviews over the next few weeks which will be open until February 1st. Impact submissions are a living history of your team’s mission to transform your community through STEM and FIRST as well as your journey and thus, is unique and different for every team.
