Last weekend, SUBC hosted a fantastic morning as alumni, members and friends came together to celebrate the club's rich history and bright future.

As part of the day, we were proud to christen five boats named in recognition of those who have played an important role in the history and success of Sydney University Boat Club:

• Will Raven

• Tom Sacre
• Rob Smithies

Thank you to everyone who joined us on the water and in the clubhouse. These boat namings recognise the lasting contributions of those who have helped shape Sydney University Boat Club and will inspire future generations of SUBC rowers for years to come.

SUBC athletes shining at NCAA Championships🚣‍♀️🤘

Congratulations to Imogen Grey and Jess Colbran on their outstanding performances at the NCAA Rowing Championships at Lake Lanier Olympic Park, Georgia.

Imogen helped the University of Texas Varsity Eight produce a remarkable performance to claim the NCAA title in a record-breaking 5:47.7, setting a new NCAA Championship record in the process.

Jess was also part of Texas's victorious Varsity Four, which delivered one of the most exciting races of the regatta. Showing incredible grit, the crew surged through the field in the closing stages to secure the NCAA Championship title.

To see SUBC athletes competing — and winning — at the highest levels of university rowing around the world is something we're incredibly proud of.

A huge congratulations also to Emily Sheppard, who raced to an impressive second place in the B Final of the Women's Quadruple Sculls, securing an 8th-place overall ranking. An outstanding result in the crew's first international regatta together and a promising sign of what's to come.
