Students in Year 11 Legal Studies were involved in a presentation by Detective Inspector Steven Peroni.

Detective Inspector Peroni discussed with students the powers of police in a range of situations, the rights of citizens in line with these powers and answered their questions about Police and the law. Detective Inspector Peroni also shared his own experiences in the force over the past 25 years in varying roles and provided students with advice for those interested in joining the force.

Not only was the experience educationally invaluable, it was also eye-opening and a real world experience for students to engage in. We thank Detective Inspector Peroni for giving up his time and sharing his knowledge and experiences with us.

Last week we gathered to celebrate an extraordinary group of individuals with each one of them embarking on a unique journey.

📢 Congratulations to our Year 12 students who recently graduated from the Western Sydney University (WSU) Access Program 📢

Our students applied and were successful to be part of a group of 10 students who undertook a university course through Western Sydney University and The College in Year 11. Students gaining a distinction or high distinction will access a $20,000 scholarship at WSU, as well as a study grant for their HSC year.

We were doubly blessed when an ex-student Amy Schmitz of our College gave the keynote address. Amy is a WSU graduate and was part of the Access Program when she was in Year 11. Amy spoke of the value of the program and her journey so far.

We thank WSU and Western Sydney University The College for this opportunity and support, we are truly grateful for this opportunity.
