This is the final call out to all POC creatives looking to showcase their written and artistic works. Wattle is SASS’s second journal publication of 2026 and this time we are looking to celebrate culturally diverse voices.

If you identify as First Nations, Black and People of Colour, consider submitting to the following categories:
✒️Poetry
📚Fiction
📝Non-fiction
🎨Visual Art
We also accept experimental pieces outside of these forms.

Meet our Publications Subcommittee - the team behind the pages, the pitches, the edits, and the “this is almost done, I just need to rewrite the entire thing” energy.

From literary journals to creative callouts, Publications is where student voices, half-formed ideas, beautiful sentences, and mildly dramatic Google Doc comments come together.

With 📚Gracie & Katie 📚 leading the writers’ room, this subcommittee is here to shape words, curate art, refine ideas, and give student work somewhere to land.

The draft may be messy.
