UNSW Aerospace Society - AIAA Student Branch We are the UNSW Aerospace Society, an AIAA Student Branch. We aim to connect students with each other and with industry through social and professional events!

AIAA UNSW is a student branch of the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics (AIAA). The student branch is based at the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia. AIAA is the world’s largest technical society dedicated to the global aerospace profession. With more than 35,000 individual members worldwide, and 90 corporate members, AIAA brings together industry, academia, and gove

rnment to advance engineering and science in aviation, space, and defense. The student branch aims to promote AIAA within the university community and help facilitate links between professional industry and UNSW students.

This International Women’s Day, we’re proud to celebrate the women helping shape the future of aerospace at UNSW 🚀

Behind the workshops, mentoring programs, project events and everything that makes our community what it is, with the majority of our executive and director team being women, our society has a strong representation of women in aerospace.

Their leadership has helped drive the momentum we’ve seen across the society, running events across uni, school outreach, technical workshops, sponsorships and helping build a growing community of students coming together to learn, build and explore aerospace.

Today we celebrate the women creating opportunities, opening doors, and inspiring the next generation of aerospace engineers.
Here’s to building an even stronger and more inclusive aerospace community ✈️
