A sincere thank you to everyone who attended the AAIA’s AGM and Annual Report (Australia) last night at the Vere Gordon Childe Centre. It was a pleasure to come together with the Institute’s members and friends and reflect on the past year, to celebrate our accomplishments, and to look ahead to the year to come.

We were fortunate to have Associate Professor Lesley Beaumont present a lecture on the recent results from the Zagora Archaeological Project (University of Sydney), providing an overview of the 2012-14, 2019 and 2024 fieldwork seasons, and sharing fascinating new research outcomes from this important Iron Age site.

We extend our appreciation to the Consul General of Greece in Sydney, Mr George Skemperis, for delivering the vote of thanks, and for his continued support of the AAIA’s mission.

The AAIA is proud to create opportunities for research and learning, and to bring our communities together to share knowledge and celebrate our common interest in the culture and heritage of Greece.

Είναι μεγάλη μας χαρά να βλέπουμε το έργο της ομάδας μας και τη σημασία της έρευνας στα Κύθηρα να προβάλλονται μέσα από τόσο προσεγμένες δημοσιογραφικές δουλειές.
