The UNSW Food Science Association (FSA) is a constituent society for all Food Scientists and Engineers. Our aim is to make sure that university isn't just a pile of books and hours of study with many fun social events for all Food Scientists throughout the year. FSA also hosts events in conjunction with societies in similar disciplines, namely the Chemical Engineering Undergraduate Society (CEUS), the Material Science and Engineering Society (MATSOC) and the Renewable Energy Society (RESOC). Besides all the events, we also make it easy for you to meet Food Science students in higher years. Along with making valuable connections, we can also help out if you're stressed about an assessment and hopefully point you in the right direction!

Ever wondered why your cookies spread? Or what gives them that perfect crumbly texture? 👀

Come along to FSA’s Baking Workshop, where we’ll be making the cutest heart-shaped jam drop cookies while learning the food science behind baking. It’s the perfect chance to get hands-on, explore the Food Science labs, and see what studying food science is all about!

You will:
✨ Take home some heart-shaped jam drop cookies 🧪 Learn the science behind what you bake 🏫 Check out the Food Science labs 🤝 Meet fellow food science students and students who love baking!

Join FSA outside the Main Library on Thursday, April 2nd, from 9AM - 12PM.

In the case of wet weather, this event will take place in the Chem Eng Common Room, on the Mezzanine Level of the June Griffith Building.

There’ll be stacks of fluffy goodness waiting for you in Week 7!!
