BREAKTHROUGHS & BREWS: Minds in a Changing World

Psychology is leaving the lecture theatre and heading to the brewery! Join us for an evening of fascinating research, good conversations, and a chance to connect with people working across psychology and related industries.

Hear from our three incredible guest speakers:

🧠 Dr Dan Miller

Can You Spot a Fake? Explore the psychology behind detecting AI-generated deepfakes and whether we can actually get better at spotting them.

🤝 Dr Sam Teague

Can We Shape Our Care? Discover what happens when people are actively involved in designing their own mental health care.

🎵 Dr Amanda Krause

More Than a Soundtrack Explore how music and bodily awareness can help us connect with our emotions and support wellbeing.

And it’s not just about the talks! Other industry leaders and professionals will be joining us on the night, making this a great opportunity to network, ask questions, and make connections outside the classroom.

🎁 Vouchers and prizes will be up for grabs throughout the night, and we’ll also be revealing more information about the 2026 Psych Ball 👀💃

📅 Tuesday, 29 September 2026
