A very rare opportunity to join the Forest School SA team in Mount Barker!

We are on the lookout for a passionate and playful Nature Mentor to join our preschool class for children aged 3-5.

We are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to get messy, laugh often, splash in creeks and dive right into adventure, climbing, mud pies and meaningful connection.

Please apply if you:
-Have experience working with children (WWCC and police clearance needed)
-Are confident in all weather conditions
-Are genuinely comfortable with adventurous and risky play
-Bring a child-led and playful approach to your work
-Are reflective, reliable and ready to learn our unique nature mentoring approach.

This isn’t your average education job, it’s hands on, heartfelt and wild in the best possible way.

Currently we are looking for someone to join our Thursday class 9.30 am to 1pm, but may have the opportunity for more classes in future.

If you have previously sent through your resume we invite you to send a copy through again!

A useful resource here, it’s always good to have a collection of songs to sing with young children.

A useful resource here, it’s always good to have a collection of songs to sing with young children.

Get the children up, moving, and connecting with the beautiful animals of this land! This rhythmic poem is all about encouraging little ones to explore the movements of their own bodies while realizing that we share so many of the same actions as the creatures around us. By jumping like a kangaroo, stretching like an emu, or rolling like an echidna, children naturally begin to feel a deeper connection to Country and the living world we all share. It’s a wonderful, active way to bring energy, joy, and movement into your morning routine.

We know there are so many more!
Key developmental, educational and social theorists who inform inclusive practice and belonging in early childhood (and this time, the bulk of them are female!) 😉
