Great to take part in a workshop hosted by AgriFutures as part of a two-week California mission across Australia, with the Queensland and Victorian governments showcasing opportunities for global collaboration to accelerate innovation for farmers.

The workshop focused on clear actions and tangible outcomes, bringing representatives from the National Farmers’ Federation, AusAgritech, Hort Innovation, Queensland DPI, Agriculture Victoria, DAFF and AUSVEG together with California speciality cropping growers, Western Growers, the University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources (UC ANR) and Charles Sturt University.

The momentum coming from this group is clear, and it will be exciting to see the initiatives and opportunities that emerge from these conversations.

At the 2026 National Renewables in Agriculture Conference and Expo in Orange, conversations around renewable energy were focused on a practical question – how can different technologies work together to support the needs of a working farm?

For AgriPark, this is where collaboration becomes critical.

Together with partners across industry and technology, AgriPark is exploring how solar generation, battery storage, agrivoltaics and emerging technologies such as hydrogen can be integrated into farm-scale energy systems.

The aim is not simply to demonstrate that a technology works, but to understand how it performs in real agricultural environments – what it costs, how reliable it is, how technologies interact and where it can deliver genuine value for farmers.

At AgriPark, researchers are working to better understand how crops, soils and farming systems respond to changing conditions. Getting our hands dirty for a great cause 🌱

The AgriPark team was pleased to join colleagues from across Charles Sturt University in supporting this year's National Tree Day planting event, led by the University's Sustainability team at the CSU Farm.

Bringing staff together to plant native trees, the day was a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the local environment while reinforcing the importance of collective action in creating healthier, more resilient landscapes.

Thank you to the Sustainability team for organising such a meaningful initiative and to everyone who volunteered their time to make a positive impact.
