National Reconciliation Week is a time to reflect, listen, and continue building relationships grounded in truth, respect, and understanding.
At First Nations Incursions, we believe reconciliation is more than celebration. It's also about creating spaces where difficult conversations can happen, where racism can be challenged, and where every child, family, and educator feels safe, valued, and heard.
Over the years, we've worked with schools, early learning services, councils, libraries, and communities to share Aboriginal culture through storytelling, music, dance, art, and connection. But we know many educators are looking for support to move beyond awareness and into meaningful action.
That's why we're excited to begin sharing a new initiative we've been developing:
🌿 Many Voices on Country
An Aboriginal-led anti-racism professional learning program for educators, schools, early learning services, and community organisations.
The program includes:
✔ Professional learning sessions
✔ Practical anti-racism strategies and tools
✔ Culturally informed resources
✔ Ongoing support from an Indigenous teacher mentor
Sessions will commence in Broadmeadows and Dandenong from late July, with regional programs to follow.
Meaningful change happens through listening, learning, reflection, and relationships.
Because reconciliation is not a one-week conversation. It's something we build together, every day.
