Learning Labs is now recruiting Volunteers for our January program at our Wollongong campus. Learning Labs is an academic and creative arts enrichment program that aims to be fun, challenging and inspiring to young learners. We have Primary and High school students travelling from all over the state to be part of the program and we need help to make their time here engaging and positive. This is where YOU come in!

As volunteers you will be assigned a workshop to help out in and you can pick which age group you prefer. Workshops are either one or two days only, and you can do as little or as many days as you like. We have workshops covering all things from maths, science, history, creative writing and technology, all mixed with lots of fun. You will not be required to deliver any content- that is the job of the workshop Presenter. You are there to make sure the students are safe, enjoying themselves and helping out the presenter as they need it. A bit like a Teacher’s Aide.

What do you get out of it?
• Lunch and Coffee voucher
• UOWx recognition
• Official UOW Certificate of Participation
• A wonderful professional learning experience
• Warm fuzzy feeling for helping children engage on campus

This is a great professional development opportunity for you.
