📣 THIS SAT: Calling all teaching artists, educators, young artists, cultural workers and creative practitioners!

Developed through the research of the project, Signalling Practices brings together people working across performance, visual art, music, screen and digital forms to explore the creativity, knowledge and value of teaching artistry.

How do we foster and celebrate our practices as teaching artists? How can we strengthen youth agency and make the skills, methods and contributions of teaching artists more visible and valued?

Join us for a vibrant day of talks, live performances, creative workshops, podcast-making, industry conversations and national and international networking.

You’ll also have the chance to hear from artists about their experiences as mentors and educators, and experience a demonstration of the Vital Arts micro-credential, which recognises young artists’ 21st-century creative skills.

THIS SUNDAY: As part of Melbourne Fringe, Viki Mealings (Viki Mealings) presents ‘Hospital: A Music and Spoken Word Performance’ about adversity, redemption, recovery, and hope.

Performed by vocalist Viki Mealings and violinist Peter O’Shea, it is musically both quirky and beautiful, featuring violin, guitar, mandolin and bodrán, with a narrative that journeys through despair and hope.

Join us for the launch of Hop Nation’s newest brew, THE GHOST, while raising funds for YKBA’s (Yarraville Business Association) beloved annual Family Halloween event. Rock up as-is, or trial run your Halloween costume, come get a little spooky with your community.

Expect a big, fun afternoon packed with Live Music, DJ, games, raffle, door prizes and dancers.

Music lovers of all ages are in for a treat with All Day Fritz, serving up roots, hillbilly swing, jazz, rock ‘n’ roll, ska and blues, a mix of originals and classics that’ll have everyone from toddlers to grandparents up and moving.
