💡 LESSON 2: How to Find Your Idea and the Courage to Start It?

Most people wait for a "perfect" idea or a detailed business plan before they begin. Yesterday, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ekrem Nurovic flipped that script completely.

The truth? You don't need a groundbreaking idea to start. You need courage.

In our second IBU Incubator session, we moved from mindset to mechanism, breaking down exactly how to build the "muscle" required to be an entrepreneur.

Here is what we covered:

🔹 The "NOW, Not HOW" Mindset: We explored why obsessing over "how" is just procrastination in disguise. The only way to truly learn business isn't by reading about it—it's by starting one.
🔹 Building the "Ask Muscle": Success is directly improved by your willingness to ask. Whether it's the $1 Challenge or the Coffee Challenge (asking for 10% off just to test your nerves), we learned that rejection isn't failure—it's progress.
🔹 The Freedom Number: Instead of chasing an abstract "million dollars," students calculated their specific monthly number for independence. When you define the target, the path becomes clear.
🔹 Validate Without Spending: We walked through the 3 core steps: Find a Problem, Craft a Solution, and Validate it without spending a dime. We analyzed real examples—from freelance video editing to local services—using the "Who, What, Where" framework.

📘 Takeaway: entrepreneurs run experiments, not just companies. Stop planning. Start engaging.

💡 LESSON 1: Why Everyone Should Think Like an Entrepreneur?

How do successful people see the world differently?

At our first entrepreneurship lecture, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ekrem Nurovic challenged students to rethink what entrepreneurship truly means — it's not about starting a business, it's about adopting a mindset.

🔹 We explored the concept of value, how every job, product, or idea is simply an exchange of value, not just money.
🔹 Students discussed why education and curiosity are the best early-stage investments, knowledge compounds faster than anything else.
🔹 Dr. Nurović introduced the "Wealth Game vs. Status Game", why entrepreneurs focus on creating wealth that benefits everyone, not chasing titles or positions.
🔹 We walked through the four ladders of wealth, from trading time for money to building scalable products, showing how each step is a skill anyone can learn.

📘 This was the introductory session in our monthly IBU Incubator series, designed to develop an entrepreneurial mindset across all study fields. Upcoming sessions will focus on practical tools, business models, and startup scaling strategies.
