Department of Business Administration, Varendra University The Department is the pioneer in rendering business education in the North Part of Bangladesh, especially at Rajshahi.

The Department of Business Administration offers both BBA and MBA Programs in four major areas including Human Resource Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, and Banking. The Department of Business Administration at Varendra University (VU) has been offering Undergraduate and Graduate programs in Business Administration since its inception. The prime goal of the Department is to provide students with customized and need-based teaching services through an integrated and practical approach to understanding current business practices. With highly qualified academic staff, the Department of Business Administration of Varenda is committed to developing competent managers and executives by nurturing a unique culture and team spirit that rewards professionalism, creativity, and excellence. It has also become the largest Department of Varendra University. It offers majors in BBA and MBA programs as per the demand of the job market. The curriculum of this department has been designed in such a way that encourages students to learn and achieve analytical and communication skills which will allow future managers, business executives and entrepreneurs to operate their organizations in an ever-changing environment and intense global competition. As part of Faculty Development Program, the Department of Business Administration, Varendra University recently organized two engaging sessions that gave us the opportunity to step back, reflect on our research practices, and learn something new together.

The first session, โ€œUnderstanding Research Philosophy: Foundations for Academic Inquiry,โ€ was conducted by Md. Shawan Uddin, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Management Studies, University of Rajshahi. The session helped us look beyond the methods and statistics and think about the deeper question of why we conduct research in the way we do.

we had another insightful session on โ€œBibliometric Review Approachโ€ with Prof. Md. Kutub Uddin, PhD Fellow, Department of Management Studies, University of Rajshahi. He made a topic that can often seem complicated feel much more practical and understandable, especially for those of us working on academic research.

The Department of Business Administration, Varendra University organized a Stakeholder Engagement & Feedback Session as part of its ongoing preparation for the BBA Program Accreditation process.

The session aimed to collect valuable insights from industry professionals and stakeholders to further enhance the quality, relevance, and industry alignment of the BBA curriculum.
The session brought together representatives from different professional sectors, including Bangladesh Bank, Grameenphone Ltd., Sonali Bank PLC, and Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank, who shared their valuable opinions and recommendations regarding the future direction of business education.

The program was chaired by the Head of the Department of Business Administration, Varendra University. Prof. Dr. Md. Habibullah, Director, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Varendra University, attended the session and highlighted the significance of stakeholder feedback in curriculum development and accreditation processes. He stated that the opinions of employers and industry representatives are highly valuable and will be considered with due importance for continuous curriculum improvement.
The event was also attended by Dr. Rejaul Karim, Associate Professor & Coordinator, Department of Business Administration, and members of the BBA Curriculum Committee.

The session concluded with appreciation for the valuable contributions of all stakeholders. The Department of Business Administration remains committed to strengthening industry-academia collaboration and developing a future-ready BBA program through continuous improvement.

The Business Administration Oratory Club (BAOC) successfully organized a workshop on "Beyond Public Speaking: The Workplace Communication Excellence" on 30th August at the Senate Hall, Varendra University.

The session was conducted by Takia Mosharref, Cluster Manager - Specialist at Grameenphone, who shared valuable insights on professional communication, executive presence, persuasion, and real corporate experiences with our students.

The workshop saw enthusiastic participation from students, who actively engaged through insightful discussions and an interactive Q&A session.
