The Orientation Program, Freshers’ Reception and White Coat Ceremony of the 12th Batch of Army Medical College, Chattogram
On May 3, 2026, Army Medical College Chattogram warmly welcomed its newest members — the students of the 12th Batch — with heartfelt greetings and a floral reception.
At the beginning of the orientation program, the Honorable Minister of Health and Family Welfare officially inaugurated the event via video conference, simultaneously joining all medical colleges across Bangladesh.
Following the inauguration, the Freshers’ Reception and White Coat Ceremony were held successfully starting with the recitation from the holy Quran.
The Principal delivered the welcome speech, warmly greeting everyone to the beautiful campus of Army Medical College, Chattogram. He highlighted that over the next six years, the campus would remain vibrant with the presence of these students. He also remembered the distinguished alumni of the college, who are contributing with excellence and honor both nationally and internationally.
After the welcome speech, the White Coat Ceremony was formally conducted, and the students were presented with their white coats.
Subsequently, the oath-taking ceremony was held, where the students solemnly took their professional pledge. A student representative expressed her thoughts and feelings on behalf of the new batch, while a guardian also shared his happiness and satisfaction regarding their child’s admission to the college.
The program concluded with the closing speech of the respected Chief Executive Officer. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the faculty members, acknowledging their dedication and tireless efforts, which have contributed to the academic achievements of the students. He also encouraged everyone to maintain a positive academic environment and ensure the smooth continuation of institutional activities.
Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of becoming compassionate and humanitarian doctors dedicated to serving society. He assured both students and guardians that the college authority would make every possible effort for their overall development and welfare.
At the end of the program, the students participated in a tree plantation program as part of their commitment to environmental and humanitarian responsibility under the slogan "One Student One Plant"
