๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ณ๐ฒ๐๐๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฟ. ๐ ๐ผ๐ต๐ฎ๐บ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฑ ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ฑ๐๐น ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐บ, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Chattogram BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology - CBUFT, participated in a prestigious national workshop titled โ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ฑ๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ด๐น๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐๐ต: ๐ฅ๐ผ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐บ๐ฎ๐ฝ ๐๐ผ ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐๐
๐ฐ๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒโ, organized by the Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) on 12 May 2026 at the Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban Auditorium, Dhaka.
The day-long workshop brought together Vice Chancellors, distinguished academicians, researchers, and education administrators from both public and private universities across the country to discuss the future direction of higher education in Bangladesh.
The ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฏ๐น๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ ๐ ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐๐๐ฒ๐ฟ of the Government of the Peopleโs Republic of Bangladesh, ๐ ๐ฟ. ๐ง๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐พ๐๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ต๐บ๐ฎ๐ป, attended the program as the Chief Guest. The event was also graced by the Honorable Education Minister ๐๐ฟ. ๐.๐ก.๐ . ๐๐ต๐๐ฎ๐ป๐๐น ๐๐ฎ๐พ๐๐ฒ ๐ ๐ถ๐น๐ผ๐ป and Education Advisor to the Honorable Prime Minister ๐๐ฟ. ๐ ๐ฎ๐ต๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ถ ๐๐บ๐ถ๐ป. The Honorable Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division. ๐ ๐ฟ. ๐๐ฏ๐ฑ๐๐น ๐๐ต๐ฎ๐น๐ฒ๐ธ delivered the welcome address. The workshop was presided over by the Honorable Chairman of the Bangladesh University Grants Commission, ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ณ๐ฒ๐๐๐ผ๐ฟ ๐๐ฟ. ๐ ๐ฎ๐บ๐๐ป ๐๐ต๐บ๐ฒ๐ฑ.
The workshop emphasized several key areas, including sustainable development of higher education, research and innovation, international university rankings, technology-driven education systems, and strengthening Industry-Academia Collaboration. Five parallel technical sessions were also conducted, focusing on the challenges and prospects of Bangladeshโs higher education sector.
