🏛️ Successful Conclusion of the International Conference on Adolescent and Young People’s Wellbeing in Bangladesh 🏛️
​On 11–12 May 2026, the Department of Anthropology at the University of Chittagong, in partnership with the Gender and Adolescence: Global Evidence (GAGE) Programme and United Nations Population Fund, supported by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the UK Government, successfully co-hosted a landmark international conference.
The conference brought together more than 300 national and international scholars, students and development professionals.
The two-day event served as a vital platform to showcase new empirical research and promoted dialogue on key issues affecting adolescents, including education, employment, health, psychosocial wellbeing, sexual and reproductive health, bodily integrity, climate resilience, digital access and humanitarian crises.
Participants engaged in rigorous, interactive sessions for research paper and poster presentations covering quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research designs.
​ We extend our deepest gratitude to the organizers, paper presenters, workshop facilitators, and attendees for their invaluable contributions to advancing the discourse on youth well-being.

📢 International Conference on Adolescent and Young People’s Wellbeing in Bangladesh, is going to be co-hosted by the Department of Anthropology, University of Chittagong and Gender and Adolescence: Global Evidence (GAGE) Programme on 11–12 May 2026 at the University of Chittagong.
Date: 11-12 May 2026
Venue: Social Science Faculty Auditorium, University of Chittagong
The conference will showcase new empirical on adolescents in and include interactive workshops on quantitative, qualitative, and mixed‑methods research.

The Department of Anthropology of Chittagong University is going to organize a Seminar Series on 31st January 2022.

Honorable professor of the department Dr. Farid Uddin Ahamed will be present as the keynote speaker of the seminar. Professor Dr. Nasir Uddin and Professor Dr. Muhammad Ala Uddin will be present as discussants in the seminar. Professor Khadija Mitu will preside over the seminar.
