🏛️ Successful Conclusion of the International Conference on Adolescent and Young People’s Wellbeing in Bangladesh 🏛️
On 11–12 May 2026, the Department of Anthropology at the University of Chittagong, in partnership with the Gender and Adolescence: Global Evidence (GAGE) Programme and United Nations Population Fund, supported by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office of the UK Government, successfully co-hosted a landmark international conference.
The conference brought together more than 300 national and international scholars, students and development professionals.
The two-day event served as a vital platform to showcase new empirical research and promoted dialogue on key issues affecting adolescents, including education, employment, health, psychosocial wellbeing, sexual and reproductive health, bodily integrity, climate resilience, digital access and humanitarian crises.
Participants engaged in rigorous, interactive sessions for research paper and poster presentations covering quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods research designs.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the organizers, paper presenters, workshop facilitators, and attendees for their invaluable contributions to advancing the discourse on youth well-being.
