On the evening of 14 June, the Department of Anatomy and Histology organized two engaging events: a presentation delivered by six interns and a motivational speech for first-year students.
The presentation, titled "Clinical Applications of Anatomical Facts," explored how anatomical knowledge is applied in solving clinical cases at both hospital and field levels. Due to a common misconception, some learners believe that anatomy has limited practical application in their future careers. To address this misunderstanding, six meritorious intern students delivered presentations before the first-year students, highlighting the importance of anatomical knowledge and demonstrating its practical implementation in clinical settings.
In addition, a renowned motivational speaker, Prof. Dr. Abdul Ahad, delivered an insightful speech focusing on life goals, analytical thinking, self-assessment, and personal dedication to academic studies. The program was coordinated by Prof. Dr. Mohi Uddin, while Prof. Dr. Kh. Nurul Islam served as an expert member. The event was also attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Md Shahriar Hasan Sohel and Lecturer DR. Md. Rasel Prank.
As a result of the program, one curious and surprised first-year student remarked that he had never imagined anatomical facts could be applied so extensively in clinical practice. Furthermore, the intern students were delighted and enthusiastic when they participated in the live animal demonstration.
To conclude, the program successfully enhanced students' understanding of the practical significance of anatomy and inspired them to pursue their studies with greater interest and dedication.
