Consultation Workshop on "Rationale for Incorporating the Children Act 2013 in the Law Department Curriculum "
Britannia University is pleased to announce its participation in the Consultation Workshop on "Rationale for Incorporating the Children Act 2013 in the Law Department Curriculum " on 15th April, 2026.
This Regional Workshop organized by UNICEF and SARC Project, Ministry of Law and Parliamentary Affairs in collaboration with Department of Law, University of Chittagong held at Peninsula, Chittagong
As an institution, dedicated to academic excellence, Britannia University recognizes the importance of aligning legal education with contemporary statutory frameworks. Two representatives from Britannia University represented the University in this workshop. The faculties were Asma Akter, Chairman (In Charge), Department of Law, BU and Aparajita Chowdhury Tithi, Lecturer, Department of Law, BU.
This workshop provided a critical platform to discuss the integration of child-centric justice systems into the academic curriculum.The event was notably enriched by the presence of eminent academicians and faculty members from various institutions across the region, fostering a collaborative environment for educational reform.
The workshop was augmented by the contributions of several prominent figures from the legal and humanitarian sectors:

The discussion focused on the legal protections surrounding the child delinquency and the current implementation status of the Children Act 2013 within the law curriculum of public and private universities in the Chittagong region.
