East West University Science Club (EWUScC) successfully organized the Science Fair 2025 on 23–24 November 2025 at East West University, bringing together 300 contestants, 56 volunteers, and 20 performers. The two-day event provided a dynamic platform for students to showcase their innovative projects, scientific knowledge, and creative skills.
The fair commenced with an inspiring opening ceremony, officiated by Air Cdre (Retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer of EWU, and Ismat Shereen, Adviser of Students’ Welfare and Head of the Career Counselling Centre (CCC). Day 1 featured a Poster & Project Showcase, where students presented their scientific ideas to an enthusiastic audience. Competitions including the PUBG Tournament, Chemistry & Biology Olympiad, and Content Writing Competition offered participants opportunities to engage intellectually and creatively.
On Day 2, the event was graced by Dr. Mubarak Ahmad Khan, former Director General of the Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission, who delivered an inspiring address to the participants. A seminar titled “Facts vs Myths: Radiation & Safety Systems of Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant” was also presented by Dr. Afroza Shelley, Professor of Nuclear Engineering at the University of Dhaka.
The fair concluded with a Prize Giving Ceremony attended by 189 guests, contestants, executive members, and volunteers, recognizing winners of the various competitions. A lively cultural program followed, celebrating the artistic talents of EWU students.
Distinguished guests included Dr. Anindita Paul, founder of EWUScC and Chairperson of the Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences; Dr. Gurudas Mandal, Professor; Dr. Md. Hamed Hussain, Assistant Professor of Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology; and alumnus Khairum Islam, Lecturer of CSE, who shared his inspiring journey. The event was expertly moderated by Dr. Zubair Hasan and Dr. Md. Tauhid Bin Iqbal, ensuring seamless coordination throughout.
Science Fair 2025 was a resounding success, highlighting EWUScC’s commitment to fostering scientific innovation, collaboration, and excellence within East West University.
