🎓 OPEN SEMINAR & RESEARCH COLLABORATION | EEE, EUB × GUNMA UNIVERSITY, JAPAN 🇧🇩🤝🇯🇵
The Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE), European University of Bangladesh (EUB) was honored to welcome distinguished academics from Gunma University, Japan, for an inspiring academic seminar and a special research collaboration session on 18 August 2026.

During the open seminar, the distinguished speakers shared valuable insights on next-generation transportation, intelligent systems, research opportunities in Japan, higher studies, international research collaboration, and future career pathways. Their interaction with our students and faculty created an excellent platform for academic exchange and encouraged young researchers to explore global research opportunities.
🔬 SPECIAL VIEW EXCHANGE & RESEARCH COLLABORATION SESSION
Following the open seminar, a dedicated View Exchange Program was organized by the EEE Research Lab, Department of EEE, EUB, where the research team presented its ongoing research activities, current projects, grant initiatives, and future research roadmap to the distinguished guests from Gunma University.
The session highlighted ongoing research in intelligent traffic and parking management, smart mobility, biomedical monitoring systems, AI/ML-based engineering applications, and embedded/CNC systems.
🤝 A Significant Milestone: Two Research Agreements
A major outcome of the special session was the signing of two agreements aimed at strengthening academic and research collaboration between European University of Bangladesh and Gunma University, Japan.
📜 1. Agreement of Collaboration on Research Work
Establishing a collaborative research framework between the EEE Research Lab, EUB and the Control System Lab, Gunma University, focusing on joint research activities, proposal development, academic knowledge exchange, and future collaborative research.
📜 2. Agreement for Collaborative Research Grant — JSPS & UGC Joint Research Project for FY2027
This agreement establishes a framework for the joint preparation and submission of the JSPS/UGC Joint Research Project for FY2027, further strengthening research cooperation between Bangladesh and Japan.
Under this collaborative initiative, Prof. Kou Yamada will serve as the Principal Researcher, with Prof. Md. Abdus Samad Kamal, Prof. Dr. Engr. Md. Hazrat Ali, and Dr. Nazmus Sakib participating in the collaborative research initiative.
🌏 These agreements represent an important step toward developing a sustainable research partnership between EUB and Gunma University, opening opportunities for joint research projects, international research grants, knowledge exchange, publications, researcher development, and future academic collaboration between Bangladesh and Japan.
We sincerely express our gratitude to Prof. Kou Yamada and Assoc. Prof. Md. Abdus Samad Kamal for accepting our invitation, sharing their valuable time and expertise, and supporting our vision for collaborative research.
