Study Tour of LL.B. Batch 57

The Department of Law, Southeast University, successfully conducted a faculty-supervised study tour for the students of LL.B. Batch 57 from 15 to 19 June 2026. The tour covered Cox’s Bazar, Marine Drive, Inani Coral Beach, Patoarthek Beach, Mirinja Valley and Moheshkhali Island.

Under the supervision of Ms Sadia Afroz Binte Siraj, Assistant Professor, and Mr Ishraque Labib, Lecturer, Department of Law, the students explored the legal and social significance of coastal protection, marine pollution, sustainable tourism, environmental conservation and cultural diversity. The visit enabled them to connect their classroom learning in Public International Law and Environmental Law with practical realities beyond textbooks and courtrooms.Their discipline, cooperation and responsible behavior during the tour was an embodiment of the values that Southeast University holds. The successful ex*****on of this educational endeavor further shows the Department of Law’s dedication to socially conscious and practice-oriented legal education.

The Department of Law successfully organized a workshop on "Prosecution of Crimes in Bangladesh: Strategies of Prosecutors."

The whole session was captivating and very interactive. The participants were able to enlighten themselves about the onerous responsibilities of prosecutors in Bangladesh.

The workshop concluded with remarks from Professor Dr. Farhana Helal Mehtab, Dean, School of Law, Southeast University and she reiterated her commitment to organize such workshops on various legal issues to harness the practical skills of law students of Southeast University.

She thanked the resource person, Mr. Shyikh Mahdi, Barrister-at-law, Prosecutor (Assistant Attorney General), International Crimes Tribunal, Bangladesh, for his valuable time and wished him the best of luck.

"Child R**e: Breaking the Silence, Demanding Justice"

The students of 57 batch of LLB (Hons.) has visited the District and Sessions Judge Court, Manikganj on 24 June 2026 as a part of their practical learning of civil and criminal matters.

The senior District and Session Judge, Manikganj Mr. SK. M. Tofayel Hasan has delivered a special lecture motivating the visiting students about being honest and dedicated to their profession and goal.

Besides, the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Manikganj, Mr. Al Asad Md. Mahmudul Islam also delivered lectures and highlighted the importance of such visit.

Mr. Baki Billah, the learned judge of the Land Survey Tribunal, Manikganj and the Chief Legal Aid Office of Manikganj Ms. Duraksha Jahan Priyanka coordinated the whole visit.
