Faculty Members of Public Administration Represent Stamford University Bangladesh Globally

We are proud to share that four faculty members from the Department of Public Administration participated in the Erasmus+ RESHAPE Programme, held in Finland and Sweden from 31 May to 13 June 2026, co-funded by the European Union.

The participants were:

* Professor Dr. Aka Firowz Ahmad – Academic Advisor & Honorary Chairman
* Professor Dr. Masuda Kamal – Adjunct Faculty and Project Expert
* Md. Shadikur Rahaman – Lecturer & Course Coordinator
* Md. Tanvir Alam – Lecturer

The programme brought together representatives from eight institutions across four countries: Turku University of Applied Sciences and Laurea University of Applied Sciences (Finland); University of Gävle (Sweden); Universitas Indonesia, Faculty of Public Health, Diponegoro University, and SEAMEO Regional Open Learning Centre (SEAMOLEC) (Indonesia); and Islamic University, Kushtia, and Stamford University Bangladesh (Bangladesh) for fostering international collaboration and knowledge exchange.

The training focused on key contemporary themes, including:

* Simulation-Based Learning
* Multisensory Learning Spaces
* Digital resource learning center
* Community-Based Activities
* Faculty Development and Internationalization

The participating faculty members believe that the knowledge and experiences gained through this programme will contribute significantly to enhancing teaching and learning practices, creating global opportunities for students, and developing responsible planetary citizens.

BPATC Seminar Highlights Bureaucracy’s Role in Ensuring Good Governance

June 23, 2026 A seminar titled “Role of Bureaucracy in Ensuring Good Governance in Bangladesh: Challenges and Way Forward” was held at the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC) Auditorium in Savar on Tuesday.

The seminar brought together academics, public administrators and policy experts to discuss the challenges facing the country’s administrative system and explore strategies for strengthening good governance.

Professor Dr Sharif Nafe As-Saber, Vice-Chancellor of Stamford University Bangladesh, attended the programme as the chief guest. In his address, he emphasised the importance of an efficient, accountable and citizen-centred bureaucracy in promoting transparency, public trust and sustainable national development.

The session was chaired by Md Sharif Hasan, Director of BPATC. He highlighted the need for continuous institutional reforms, professional development and the effective use of technology to improve public service delivery.

Speakers at the seminar discussed various issues affecting governance, including bureaucratic efficiency, accountability, policy implementation and public sector innovation. They also underscored the importance of adapting administrative practices to meet the evolving needs of citizens.

The participants expressed the view that a responsive and competent bureaucracy is essential for achieving good governance and ensuring effective service delivery across the country.

The seminar was held from 8:30 am to 10:40 am at the BPATC Auditorium in Savar.
