রবীন্দ্র-নজরুল স্মরণ উৎসব–২০২৬ উদযাপন

স্টামফোর্ড ইউনিভার্সিটি ড্রামা সোসাইটির উদ্যোগে এবং ‘প্রাডা এআই অ্যান্ড প্রেজেন্টস’-এর সৌজন্যে রাজধানীর স্টামফোর্ড ইউনিভার্সিটি বাংলাদেশের অডিটোরিয়ামে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়েছে “রবীন্দ্র-নজরুল স্মরণ উৎসব–২০২৬”। গত ২০ মে আয়োজিত এ অনুষ্ঠানটি ছিল বর্ণাঢ্য ও প্রাণবন্ত।

অনুষ্ঠানে সুর-সঙ্গীত, কবিতা আবৃত্তি, মঞ্চনাটক ও মনোমুগ্ধকর ফ্যাশন শোর মাধ্যমে সৃষ্টি হয় এক নান্দনিক সাংস্কৃতিক পরিবেশ। শিক্ষার্থীদের স্বতঃস্ফূর্ত অংশগ্রহণে পুরো আয়োজন প্রাণচাঞ্চল্যে ভরে ওঠে এবং দর্শকদের মুগ্ধ করে।

অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন স্টামফোর্ড ইউনিভার্সিটির ফিল্ম অ্যান্ড মিডিয়া স্টাডিজ বিভাগের চেয়ারম্যান অধ্যাপক ড. এস এম মতিন রহমান। এ ছাড়া বিভাগের অন্যান্য শিক্ষকবৃন্দ উপস্থিত ছিলেন। অনুষ্ঠানে আরও উপস্থিত ছিলেন স্টামফোর্ড ইউনিভার্সিটি ড্রামা সোসাইটির কনভেনর তানিয়া সুলতানা এবং স্টুডেন্ট ওয়েলফেয়ার অ্যাডভাইজার তামান্না জেরিন।

অনুষ্ঠানের অন্যতম আকর্ষণ ছিল মীরাক্কেল চ্যাম্পিয়ন ও ফিল্ম অ্যান্ড মিডিয়া স্টাডিজ বিভাগের মাস্টার্সের শিক্ষার্থী আবু হেনা রনির কৌতুক পরিবেশনা। তাঁর প্রাণবন্ত উপস্থাপনা দর্শকদের মধ্যে ব্যাপক আনন্দের সঞ্চার করে।

এ ছাড়া রবীন্দ্র ও নজরুলসংগীত, নৃত্য পরিবেশনা, নাটক এবং ফ্যাশন শো আয়োজনটিকে আরও আকর্ষণীয় করে তোলে। সাংস্কৃতিক ঐতিহ্য, শিক্ষার্থীদের সৃজনশীল অংশগ্রহণ এবং নান্দনিক উপস্থাপনার সমন্বয়ে অনুষ্ঠানটি সফল ও স্মরণীয় হয়ে ওঠে।

Stamford Business Forum & JCI Dhaka Heritage Host "AI Mastery for Tomorrow's Corporate Stars"

Stamford Business Forum and JCI Dhaka Heritage jointly organised a professional development workshop titled "AI Mastery for Tomorrow's Corporate Stars" at the Auditorium of Stamford University Bangladesh. The event brought together students, industry professionals, and academic leaders to explore the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in today's evolving corporate landscape.

The workshop was conducted and facilitated by Ehsanul Hoq, Founder and CEO of EloyLab Limited, who guided participants through the practical applications of AI across business strategy, marketing, communication, leadership, and career development. Attendees engaged in interactive sessions and live demonstrations featuring modern AI tools, including ChatGPT, Gamma, Claude, NotebookLM, and Manus AI, among others.

The keynote address was delivered by Md. Mostafizur Rahman Khan (Rimaz), Managing Director of Tecognize Solutions Limited, who urged participants to embrace a culture of continuous learning as the most vital asset in an AI-driven world.

Among the most anticipated segments of the day was the AI Presentation Challenge, in which participants were tasked with building investor pitch presentations using AI tools within a strictly limited timeframe — putting both their creativity and their ability to leverage technology under pressure to the test.

The programme was presided over by Mohammad Nazmul Huq, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Marketing, who delivered the opening remarks. He emphasised the importance of integrating AI tools with human Natural Intelligence to advance the frontiers of learning, and encouraged participants to remain in a perpetual learning mindset so that they may stand out in their professional lives.

The vote of thanks was delivered by Mohammad Ahsan Kabir Rubel, Convener of the Stamford Business Forum, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Executive and General Members of the Forum as well as all stakeholders who contributed to the event's success. He also extended special appreciation to Igloo Bangladesh for serving as the official cool refreshment partner of the event.

In his closing remarks, he left participants with a thought-provoking vision for the future:
"The future belongs to the collaboration between Neural Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence, and Synthesis Intelligence."
The programme concluded with a networking session, refreshments, group photography, and the presentation of tokens of appreciation to distinguished guests and contributors.

Students from the Department of Film and Media Studies of Stamford University visited Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

On the 12th may , 2026 The students of the 85th batch from the Department of Film and Media Studies at Stamford University Bangladesh conducted an educational visit to the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. This academic tour was organized under the supervision of Ms. Tania Sultana, Assistant Professor of the Department of Film and Media Studies and the course teacher for the 'History of Theater' course.
Upon their arrival, the students were greeted and guided through the academy by Fazle Rabbi Sukorno, Stage Manager of the Department of Theatre and Film. He was specially assisted by Ikramul Islam (Assistant Director of the Film Department), Abdul Munim Tarafder (Theatre Instructor from Training Department) and Imam Abdullah Hakim (Assistant Director, Theatre).
During this detailed tour, the students visited the Academy's three main theatre venues: the National Theatre Hall (Main Hall), the Experimental Theatre Hall, and the Studio Theatre Hall. They also explored the Theatre Rehearsal Halls, the Green Rooms, and the Theatre Demonstration Hall—where seminars, workshops, demonstrations, and script-reading sessions do regularly take place. This firsthand experience provided the students with practical insights into professional theatre operations and stage management along with the theoretical knowledge of theatre adapted from the experts.
Following the tour, a light refreshment was arranged for the students and the academy officials. During the session, the students were interacted with Deepak Kumar Goswami, the Director of the Department of Theatre and Film at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. During the interaction, he discussed the academic prospects of Stamford’s Department of Film and Media Studies and expressed a strong interest in collaborating with the department and it's students for future creative projects by the academy.
The event concluded with the Director presenting complimentary gifts to the visiting team as a token of goodwill. The students then expressed their gratitude and bid farewell to all the officials and staff of the academy, marking the end of a highly successful educational tour.

The Department of Journalism and Media Studies at Stamford University Bangladesh organized a workshop titled “Unleash Your Imagination: A Creative Writing Workshop" on May 19, 2026, at the university’s conference room as part of the Feature and Creative Writing course.

Prominent novelist and JRN alumna Mouri Morium served as the keynote speaker at the session, sharing her valuable insights and experiences in creative writing with the students.

The Department's Chairman, Professor Quazi Abdul Mannan, delivered the inaugural speech and welcomed the students to the event.

Course teacher Shabnam Zannat, along with other department faculty members, students of the 83rd batch also participated in the workshop.

Stamford University Holds Orientation, Professional Session and Farewell for Environmental Science Students

The Department of Environmental Science at Stamford University Bangladesh organised a Freshmen Orientation, Professional Orientation and Farewell Ceremony at the university auditorium on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The programme was arranged to welcome newly admitted students, provide professional guidance to final-year students and bid farewell to graduating students of the department.

The welcome address was delivered by Dr Mahmuda Parvin, Chairman and Associate Professor of the Department of Environmental Science. The event was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor of Stamford University Bangladesh, Dr Sharif Nafe As-Saber.

Professor Dr Md Nurul Islam, Vice-Chancellor of Central University, Bangladesh, attended the ceremony as the chief guest. Among the distinguished guests were Professor Dr Ahmad Kamruzzaman Majumder, Dean of the Faculty of Science; Professor Dr Mohammad Jeaul Hasan, Treasurer; Muhammad Abdul Matin, Registrar; Dr Mrityunjoy Acharya, Proctor of Stamford University Bangladesh; Dr Md Sharifull Islam, Associate Professor and Executive Director of SURC; and Md Ashik Mahmud, Head of Admission.

Faculty members of the Department of Environmental Science, including Assistant Professors Kamrun Nahar Khan Mukti and Dr Taniziman Ara, as well as Lecturers Md Nasir Ahmmed Patoary and Shaila Akther, were also present at the event. The first session of the programme was moderated by Md Humayun Kabir, Assistant Professor of the department.

In his speech, chief guest Professor Dr Md Nurul Islam described Environmental Science as a multidisciplinary field offering diverse career opportunities for students. Addressing the freshers, he said, “Welcome to the world of environmental thought.” He further stressed that collective efforts towards environmental protection and sustainability could contribute significantly to sustainable development.

In his presidential address, Vice-Chancellor Dr Sharif Nafe As-Saber said, “All of you who are here today will one day become physicians of the Earth.” He noted that growing environmental challenges worldwide are increasing interest in Environmental Science education. He welcomed the newly admitted students and wished the graduating students success in their future careers.

During the first phase of the programme, students from the 84th, 85th and 86th batches of the department were welcomed with flowers. In the second phase, graduating students from the 75th, 76th, 77th, 78th and 79th batches were honoured with commemorative crests.

The closing remarks were delivered by Mahmuda Islam, Assistant Professor and Acting Chairman of the Department of Environmental Science. The event concluded with a colourful cultural programme jointly hosted by students Tanha Bir Mortuza Niloy and Puja Moitra, coordinated by Kamrun Nahar Khan Mukti, Assistant Professor of the department.

This is to notify that Stamford University Bangladesh will remain closed from May 23 to June 02, 2026 for Eid-ul-Adha. All classes & offices will resume from June 03, 2026 as per ref. 'A'.

On May 16, 2026, the Accounting Research Initiative (ARI) of Department of Accounting in Univeraity of Dhaka arranged an insightful workshop on “Integrating AI Into Research & Financial Reporting.” The program brought together accounting academics from various universities to explore the growing impact of artificial intelligence in research and financial practices.

The workshop sessions were conducted by Prof. Md. Shahinur Sobhan, Founder & CEO of Robodemy and AI Lifestyle Tech, along with Mr. Raihan Sobhan, Assistant Professor of the University of Dhaka. Their discussions highlighted practical uses of AI in financial reporting, research analysis, literature review, and advanced analytical techniques.

Four esteemed faculty members in Department of Business Administration (Accounting Discipline) represented Stamford University Bangladesh among participants. They actively took part in the workshop. They are : Shyamali Biswas (Head of Accounting Discipline), Farjana Yeshmin (Associate Professor), Rehana Fowzia (Associate Professor) and Ifrad Jahan (Senior Lecturer).

The sessions provided a valuable learning opportunity to help in gaining practical knowledge about AI-driven research methods and modern financial reporting practices.
