বেসিস-এর তত্ত্বাবধানে এবং বেসিস স্টুডেন্টস ফোরাম-এর সহযোগিতায় শুরু হয়েছে "নাসা স্পেস অ্যাপস চ্যালেঞ্জ-২০১৯" এর আঞ্চলিক পর্যায়ের প্রতিযোগিতা।
এই উপলক্ষে ইউনিভার্সিটি অব এশিয়া প্যাসিফিক এবং বেসিস স্টুডেন্টস ফোরাম-এর মধ্যে একটি দ্বিপাক্ষিক সমঝোতা হয়েছে।
সমঝোতা অনুষ্ঠানে ইউনিভার্সিটি অব এশিয়া প্যাসিফিক-এর পক্ষে উপস্থিত ছিলেন প্রফেসর ডঃ জামিলুর রেজা চৌধুরী, ভাইস চ্যান্সেলর, ইউনিভার্সিটি অব এশিয়া প্যাসিফিক; ডঃ বিলকিস জামাল ফেরদৌসি, প্রফেসর অ্যান্ড হেড ডিপার্টমেন্ট অব সিএসই, ইউনিভার্সিটি অব এশিয়া প্যাসিফিক; আলোক কুমার সাহা, এসোসিয়েট প্রফেসর, ডিপার্টমেন্ট অফ সিএসই, ইউনিভার্সিটি অব এশিয়া প্যাসিফিক; ইয়াসির আরাফাত, আহ্বায়ক, বেসিস স্টুডেন্টস ফোরাম, ইউনিভার্সিটি অব এশিয়া প্যাসিফিক।
বেসিস-এর পক্ষে উপস্থিত ছিলেন
বেসিস পরিচালক ও বেসিস স্টুডেন্টস ফোরামের আহ্বায়ক দিদারুল আলম, নাসা স্পেস অ্যাপস চ্যালেঞ্জ-এর উপদেষ্টা আরিফুল হাসান, বেসিস স্টুডেন্টস ফোরামের সমন্বয়ক এবং বেসিস-এর ব্র্যান্ডিং অ্যান্ড কমিউনিকেশন উপব্যবস্থাপক মো. ওয়াসেক সাজ্জাদ, ইভেন্ট ম্যানেজার রাজীব আহমেদ ও সিস্টেম ইঞ্জিনিয়ার মাসুদুর রহমান।
সমঝোতার আওতায় নাসা স্পেস অ্যাপস চ্যালেঞ্জ-২০১৯-এর ন্যাশনাল বুট ক্যাম্পটি ইউনিভার্সিটি অব এশিয়া প্যাসিফিক-এ অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। পাশাপাশি ইউনিভার্সিটি অব এশিয়া প্যাসিফিক-এর শিক্ষার্থীরা বেসিস-এর বিভিন্ন আয়োজন এবং প্রশিক্ষণে অংশ নেওয়ার সুযোগ পাবে।
এ বছর প্রতিযোগিতায় ক্যাটাগরি হিসেবে থাকছে আর্থস ওশানস, আওয়ার মুন, প্ল্যানেটস নেয়ার অ্যান্ড ফার, টু দ্য স্টারস এবং লিভিং ইন আওয়ার ওয়ার্ল্ড।
যেকোনো ছাত্র, ব্যবসায়ী প্রতিষ্ঠান, কোডার, বিজ্ঞানী ও প্রযুক্তিবিদগণ এই প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশগ্রহণ করতে পারবেন।
প্রজেক্ট হিসেবে জমা দিতে পারবেন হার্ডওয়্যার, সফটওয়্যার, মোবাইল অ্যাপ, গেমস এবং হার্ডওয়্যার/সফটওয়্যার/মোবাইল অ্যাপ/গেমস প্রটোটাইপ।
আঞ্চলিক পর্যায়ের বিজয়ীরা চূড়ান্ত প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশগ্রহণের সুযোগ পাবেন।
রেজিস্ট্রেশনের শেষ সময় ৩০ সেপ্টেম্বর, ২০১৯ (সোমবার) রাত ১১:৫৯ পর্যন্ত।

BASIS along with BASIS Students' Forum has organized NASA Space Apps Challenge-2019! The regional competition has started!
On this occasion, University of Asia Pacific and BASIS Students Forum has come to a bilateral agreement.
Vice Chancellor of University of Asia Pacific Prof. Dr. Jamilur Reza Choudhury, Professor & Head of the Dept of CSE of University of Asia Pacific Dr. Bilkis Jamal Ferdosi, Associate Professor of Dept of CSE of University of Asia Pacific Aloke Kumar Saha and Convener of BASIS Students' Forum, University of Asia Pacific Yeasir Arafat were present at the signing ceremony on behalf of the University of Asia Pacific.
Director of BASIS and Convener of BASIS Students' Forum Didarul Alam, Adviser of NASA Space Apps Challenge Ariful Hassan, Coordinator of BASIS Students' Forum and Deputy Manager Branding and Communication of BASIS Md. Wasek Sazzad, Event Manager Rajib Ahmed and System Engineer Masudur Rahman were present on the behalf of BASIS.
Under the agreement, the National Boot Camp of NASA Space Apps Challenge-2019 will be held at the University of Asia Pacific. In addition, students of the University of Asia Pacific will have the opportunity to participate in various events and training of BASIS.
This year's categories are Earth's Oceans, Our Moon, Planets Near and Far, To the Stars and Living in our World.
Organizations, students, coders, scientist and technology enthusiasts can participate in this competition.
The projects can be submitted in as Hardware, Software, Mobile Apps, Games and Hardware/Software/Mobile Apps/Games Prototype.
The regional winners will get the opportunity to participate in the final competition.
The last date of registration is 30th September, 2019 (Monday). 11:59 pm.
