โ€œ๐ˆ๐”๐๐๐‚ ๐Œ๐ž๐š๐ฐ ๐”๐–๐”โ€ from the IUB Programming Club secured the ๐Ÿ๐ง๐ ๐‘๐ฎ๐ง๐ง๐ž๐ซ-๐”๐ฉ ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐‘๐จ๐›๐จ ๐’๐จ๐œ๐œ๐ž๐ซ ๐ฌ๐ž๐ ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐š๐ญ ๐‘๐จ๐›๐จ๐…๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐Ÿ.๐ŸŽ, a national robotics festival held at t๐ก๐ž ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐…๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ข๐ž๐ซ ๐“๐ž๐œ๐ก๐ง๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ฒ, ๐๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฅ๐š๐๐ž๐ฌ๐ก (๐”๐…๐“๐) on August 8, 2026.

The team consisted of ๐€๐Š๐Œ ๐‘๐š๐Ÿ๐ข๐ฎ๐ฅ ๐Œ๐จ๐ซ๐ฌ๐ก๐ž๐, ๐“๐š๐ง๐ฃ๐ข๐ฆ ๐‘๐š๐ก๐ฆ๐š๐ง ๐’๐š๐š๐, ๐Œ๐ ๐“๐š๐ง๐ฏ๐ข๐ซ ๐€๐ก๐ฌ๐š๐ง ๐€๐ง๐ค๐จ๐ง, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐“๐š๐ก๐ฆ๐ข๐ ๐”๐ฅ ๐€๐ฅ๐š๐ฆ, who represented Independent University, Bangladesh, competing against teams from universities and institutions from across the country. They are students of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), and Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE).

The achievement adds another national accomplishment to the growing record of the IUB Programming Club and highlights the technical skills, teamwork, and innovative problem-solving capabilities of its members in the field of robotics and emerging technologies.

The event was designed to cultivate algorithmic thinking, practical project development, and collaborative problem-solving across the university's growing tech community.
The week-long event had three segments: ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ˆ๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐š-๐ˆ๐”๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ, ๐ˆ๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐š-๐ˆ๐”๐ ๐‡๐š๐œ๐ค๐š๐ญ๐ก๐จ๐ง, ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š ๐“๐ž๐œ๐ก ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฃ๐ž๐œ๐ญ ๐’๐ก๐จ๐ฐ๐œ๐š๐ฌ๐ž, with a total ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ณ๐ž ๐ฉ๐จ๐จ๐ฅ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐๐ƒ๐“ ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ,๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ. Across segments, the event brought participants together to present their projects - both hardware and software - to judges from industry and academia, build a real-world solution to existing problems under high pressure, and solve complex problems under strict time constraints.
In the senior category for the programming contest, Ahnaf Abdullah secured first place, Tanvir Ahmed placed second, and Rabiul Islam Raihan took third. The junior category saw Md Al Fardin Khan emerge in first place, followed by Md. Rashedul Islam Sabbir in second, and Sah Paran in third.
The Tech Project Showcase highlighted innovative student builds, with Md Habibur Rahman Habib from team โ€œPIKU Roboticsโ€ taking the champion title, Syed Faizan placing second, and the team โ€œErrorโ€ of Ramisa Islam Shreya, Suad Janeeta Rahman, and Samia Jannat Mommy capturing third.
Closing out the event, the Hackathon awarded first place to Syed Faizan of โ€œRoboCapโ€. Second place went to the team โ€œIUB_TechFreakโ€ of Rasheduzzaman Rochi, Mandira Paul, and Fahim Shahriar Alif, while the โ€œTeam Doomsdayโ€ of Syed Mehedi Hussain, Md. Mahmudul Hasan, and Ridwan Hasan Khandakar earned third place.

The visit provided students with the opportunity to gain practical insights into satellite communication systems, ground station operations, and the technological infrastructure that supports Bangladesh's satellite services. In addition to the technical learning experience, the tour encouraged teamwork, knowledge sharing, and stronger connections among students and faculty members.
