"Classroom to Courtroom” : Seminar on "Career Planning: Advocacy."

Dear Students,

It is our great pleasure to announce the second session of the Department of Law’s platform “Classroom to Courtroom” 's Seminar on "Career Planning: Advocacy."

Our guest speaker will be Barrister Abdullah Al Mahmud (Masud), Advocate, Supreme Court of Bangladesh and Deputy Attorney General, Bangladesh. He will share his valuable insights on the path to advocacy, building a legal career in Bangladesh, and the real-world experiences of legal practice for aspiring law students.

✨ Classroom to Courtroom – A New Platform initiated by CUB Law! ✨

The Department of Law, Canadian University of Bangladesh, proudly launched its brand-new platform “Classroom to Courtroom” on 30 August 2025 at the CUB Auditorium, Rangs RL Square, Pragati Sarani, Badda, Dhaka. The inaugural session, Career Planning: Magistracy, featured Ms. Mehera Mahabub, Metropolitan Magistrate, Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Dhaka, as the distinguished guest speaker.

This inspiring initiative was coordinated and hosted by Ms. Sumaiya Islam Mrittika, Lecturer in Law, and attended by Assistant Professor Mr. Mohammad Sunzad Sheikh, Head of the Department, along with Adjunct Faculty, Mr. Ashfaqur Rahman, Senior Assistant Secretary, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, and other esteemed faculty members of the department.

Through thought-provoking discussions, engaging Q&A round and invaluable insights, students explored the realities of magistracy, career planning, socio-legal issues, and the practical journey of legal professionals in the Court.

"Classroom to Courtroom" marks the beginning of a transformative platform, bridging academic learning with the real-life responsibilities of the courtroom. This is just the start of many more initiatives to guide and empower our future legal leaders.
