American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) conducted its freshman student orientation for the spring 2023-2024 semester on Monday.

The orientation sessions were organized separately for undergraduate and graduate students across various faculties on the AIUB campus.

Representatives from the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) provided the new students with essential information regarding university policies and regulations.

They also outlined the procedures for effectively utilizing the university's resources and tools to support their academic journey.

Ishtiaque Abedin, founder member, and chairman of AIUB Board of Trustees, graced the orientation sessions as the chief guest.

In his address, he warmly welcomed the students and their parents, expressing gratitude for their enthusiastic participation.

The pro-vice chancellor, registrar, and deans of AIUB also delivered their important speeches during the orientation program.

The event featured a distinguished presence, including Shania Mahia Abedin, a member of the Board of Trustees of AIUB, faculty members, key officials, and students, along with their parents.

The AIUB Performing Arts Club (APAC) added to the vibrant atmosphere with their performances at the AIUB campus.

চলতি বছরের এইচএসসি ও সমমান পরীক্ষার ফলাফল প্রকাশ করা হবে আগামী নভেম্বর মাসের শেষে। তবে এখনো তারিখ চূড়ান্ত হয়নি।

এ কথা জানিয়েছেন আন্তশিক্ষা বোর্ড সমন্বয় কমিটির প্রধান ও ঢাকা শিক্ষা বোর্ডের চেয়ারম্যান অধ্যাপক তপন কুমার সরকার। তিনি আজ বৃহস্পতিবার বলেন, ফলাফল প্রকাশ হবে নভেম্বরের শেষে। কিন্তু এখনো সম্ভাব্য তারিখের প্রস্তাব মন্ত্রণালয়ে পাঠানো হয়নি।

গত ১৭ আগস্ট শুরু হয়েছিল এ বছরের এইচএসসি ও সমমানের পরীক্ষা। অবশ্য প্রাকৃতিক দুর্যোগের কারণে চট্টগ্রাম এবং মাদ্রাসা ও কারিগরি শিক্ষা বোর্ডের পরীক্ষা কিছুদিন পর শুরু হয়েছিল।

এবার পুনর্বিন্যাস করা পাঠ্যসূচি অনুযায়ী একটি বাদে সব বিষয়ে পূর্ণ নম্বর ও পূর্ণ সময়ে পরীক্ষা হয়েছে। শুধু তথ্য ও যোগাযোগপ্রযুক্তি (আইসিটি) পরীক্ষা শেষ সময়ে এসে ১০০ নম্বরের পরিবর্তে ৭৫ নম্বরে নেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত হয়েছিল।
