The university was sponsored and funded by International Business Agriculture & Technology (IUBAT) Trust. In 2002, Northern University Bangladesh was established by International Business Agriculture & Technology (IBAT) Trust, a registered, non-political, non-profit voluntary organization, NUB made its foray into the field of higher education and established itself as a center for excellence. Presently Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) has 5 Faculties situated within the Dhaka Metropolitan city with its Permanent Campus near Haji camp at Ashkona, Dakshin Khan. NUB has affiliations & accreditations with international institutions in its effort to provide education that can provide students with all the tools needed to face the challenges in any chosen career from any specialized field & the global industry. NUB has been authorized to confer degrees and certificates in all branches of knowledge including Business, Arts & Humanities, Science and Engineering, Law, Pharmacy and Public Health within the levels that include Bachelors, Masters & is in the process of acquiring the level of M Phil & Ph.D. in collaboration with foreign universities.

The NUB Textile Club and the Department of Textile Engineering at Northern University Bangladesh jointly organized the Freshers’ Reception program for the 51st Batch (Day) on Saturday, June 13, 2026. The newly admitted students were warmly welcomed to the NUB Textile family by the Head of the Department, coordinators, faculty members, and executives of the NUB Textile Club.

The program commenced with inaugural speeches delivered by the coordinators of the department. During the session, the freshers were introduced to the academic environment, along with the rules, regulations, and educational policies of the department and the university. In his concluding remarks, the Head of the Department highlighted the significant contribution of Bangladesh’s textile sector to the national economy and emphasized the promising future opportunities for textile engineering graduates.

Later, representatives of the NUB Textile Club arranged a campus tour for the newly admitted students. The program concluded with interactive activities and memorable photography sessions, marking the beginning of the students’ academic journey at Northern University Bangladesh.🍂

The 45th Batch of the Department of Textile Engineering, Northern University Bangladesh officially began their academic journey on June 12, 2026 through a welcoming and orientation program organized by the department. The newly admitted students were warmly greeted by the Head of the Department, G.M. Faysal, along with the co-coordinators and other esteemed faculty members. During the program, mentors introduced the students to the university’s academic environment, education policies, examination systems, and other important academic guidelines. A guided campus tour was also arranged to help the students become familiar with the university facilities and surroundings. The orientation program concluded with an inspiring speech by the Head of the Department. The NUB Textile family extends its heartfelt best wishes to the students of the 45th Batch for a successful and bright academic journey ahead.🍂

A Warm Welcome to Our New Faces!

The Department of English, Northern University Bangladesh (EDNUB) officially kicked off the Summer 2026 semester on June 8, 2026, welcoming a vibrant new batch of brilliant minds with immense joy and academic enthusiasm.

Our freshers received a heartfelt and cordial welcome from our distinguished faculty leadership, including Prof. Md. Abdur Rashid and Mohammad Mozammel Haque, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences & Associate Professor. Also present to inspire the new students were Associate Professor Mohammad Jashim Uddin, Assistant Professor & Head Mr. Shihab Uddin Ahmad, Assistant Professor & Coordinator Md. Shakhawat Hossain, and Lecturer & Coordinator Muztaba Rafid, alongside the dedicated faculty members of EDNUB.

To our new students, welcome to the EDNUB family! This marks the beginning of an inspiring chapter filled with intellectual growth, lifelong friendships, and endless opportunities. We are incredibly excited to watch you shape your future and reach new heights within our community.
