Statement from IBA BBA 30:
We, as a batch, are deeply concerned and saddened by the recent incident involving Tasnia and Mehtaj. As members of the IBA community, we believe it is our responsibility to take a clear stance and to ensure that accurate information is shared during this sensitive time.
• We unequivocally condemn their presence in such a group and the disturbing actions and sentiments that have surfaced as a result.
• As a collective, we want to make it clear that our batch does not associate with, support, or tolerate any form of misogyny, Islamophobia, or r**e culture. These acts and ideologies go against the values of empathy, respect, and integrity that we strive to uphold as individuals and as a community.
• All available evidence and materials have been submitted to the authorities as an official complaint. We are fully cooperating with the process and trust that the matter will be handled with the seriousness and impartiality it requires.
• In light of this, we have also seen unverified claims and rumors spreading online. We strongly urge everyone to refrain from sharing, speculating, or engaging with unverified information, as doing so can cause unnecessary harm, confusion, and distress for those involved. We encourage everyone to rely on the official communication and outcomes of the investigation instead.
This situation has been deeply upsetting for many of us, and we recognize the emotional toll it has taken on the community. We ask everyone to approach this matter with compassion, restraint, and responsibility. Let us allow the appropriate authorities to carry out their duties, while we, as peers, continue to uphold a culture of mutual respect, accountability, and empathy.
আমরা, আইবিএ বিবিএ ৩০ পুরো ব্যাচ হিসেবে, তাসনিয়া এবং মেহতাজকে জড়িয়ে সাম্প্রতিক ঘটনায় গভীর উদ্বেগ ও দুঃখ প্রকাশ করছি। আইবিএ শিক্ষার্থী হিসেবে আমরা বিশ্বাস করি আমাদের দায়িত্ব, এই সংবেদনশীল সময়ে আমাদের স্পষ্ট অবস্থান নেওয়া এবং সঠিক তথ্য প্রচার।
আমরা তাদের এমন একটি গ্রুপে উপস্থিতি এবং তাদের উদ্বেগজনক আচরনের স্পষ্ট নিন্দা ও ধিক্কার জানাই।
ব্যাচ হিসেবে আমরা স্পষ্ট করতে চাই, নারী বিদ্বেষ, ইসলামোফোবিয়া, বা ধর্ষণ - এসব ঘৃণ্য মতাদর্শ বা কর্মকাণ্ডকে আমরা কোনো অবস্থাতেই সমর্থন বা সহ্য করি না। এইসব আচরণ আমাদের মানবিকতা, ও মূল্যবোধের পরিপন্থী, যা আমরা ব্যক্তি ও সম্প্রদায় উভয় হিসেবেই রক্ষা করার চেষ্টা করি।
উপস্থিত সমস্ত প্রমাণ ও উপকরণ সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষের কাছে অভিযোগ আকারে জমা দেওয়া হয়েছে। আমরা পূর্ণ সহযোগিতা করছি এবং বিশ্বাস করি যে বিষয়টি যথাযথ গুরুত্ব ও নিরপেক্ষতার সঙ্গে পরিচালিত হবে।
তবে ইতিমধ্যে আমরা লক্ষ্য করেছি যে অনলাইনে বিভিন্ন যাচাইবিহীন দাবি ও গুজব এবং অনুমাননির্ভর তথ্য ছড়ানো হচ্ছে। আমরা সবাইকে জোরালোভাবে আহ্বান জানাচ্ছি—এমন তথ্য শেয়ার করা, মন্তব্য করা বা অনুমান করা থেকে বিরত থাকুন। এতে সংশ্লিষ্টদের প্রতি অপ্রয়োজনীয় ক্ষতি, বিভ্রান্তি ও মানসিক চাপ সৃষ্টি হতে পারে। আমরা সবাইকে অনুরোধ করছি যেন শুধুমাত্র অফিসিয়াল তদন্তের ফলাফলের ওপর নির্ভর করা হয়।
এই পরিস্থিতি আমাদের সকলের জন্যই পীড়াদায়ক, এবং এটি পুরো সম্প্রদায়ের ওপর নেতিবাচক প্রভাব ফেলেছে। তাই আমরা সবাইকে অনুরোধ করছি যেন এই বিষয়ে সহমর্মিতা ও দায়িত্বশীলতার সঙ্গে আচরণ করা হয়। আসুন, সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষকে তাদের কাজ সম্পূর্ণ করতে দিই, আর আমরা সহপাঠী হিসেবে পারস্পরিক শ্রদ্ধা, জবাবদিহিতা ও সহমর্মিতার সংস্কৃতি বজায় রাখি।
