Professor Dr. Tahmina Foyez, Head of the Department of Pharmacy at United International University (UIU), visited Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd. today for a productive discussion focused on advancing pharmaceutical research and development.

During the visit, she met with Mr. Rabbur Reza, Chief Operating Officer, and Mr. Subodh Chandra Das, Head and Executive Director of R&D, to discuss formulation and drug delivery system development, including technical support for her OWSD-supported hydrogel formulation project. Dr. Abu Bin Imran, Professor and Head of the Department of Chemistry at BUET, who is also a collaborator on the OWSD project, was present during the meeting. The meeting also opened avenues for academic–industry collaboration, knowledge exchange, and future research partnerships.

We sincerely appreciate the valuable support and constructive discussions with the team at Beximco Pharmaceuticals Ltd. and look forward to continued collaboration in advancing pharmaceutical research and innovation.

The Department of Pharmacy, United International University (UIU), successfully hosted an inspiring seminar on "Empowering Future Pharmacist Leaders: Through Student-Engaged Learning, Effective Teaching Strategies, and Research Opportunities."

We were honored to welcome Dr. Ashrafur Rahman, Assistant Professor, Nesbitt School of Pharmacy, Wilkes University, Pennsylvania, USA, as our distinguished speaker.

During the session, Dr. Rahman shared valuable insights on:

The School of Life Sciences, United International University (UIU), has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Dhaka, alongside three other private universities. The agreement aims to strengthen academic and research collaboration through joint research, academic exchange, seminars, conferences, workshops, training programs, and resource sharing in pharmaceutical sciences, biotechnology, and related fields. 🎉 Department of Pharmacy, United International University Welcomes Batch 263 (Fall 2026)! 🎉

The Department of Pharmacy, United International University, successfully organized the Orientation Program for the newly admitted students of Batch 263 (Fall 2026).

The program was graced by Prof. Dr. Md. Abdul Mazid, Advisor, School of Life Sciences, and Prof. Dr. Tahmina Foyez, Head, Department of Pharmacy, along with the respected faculty members of the department. Through their inspiring speeches, they shared valuable guidance and words of encouragement, motivating the freshers as they embark on their academic journey in pharmacy.

The session also featured a comprehensive presentation by Dr. Refaya Rezwan, who introduced the students to the Pharmacy curriculum, academic regulations, departmental guidelines, and essential instructions to help them confidently begin their university life.

We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to our student volunteers, whose dedication, enthusiasm, and tireless efforts throughout the program played a vital role in making the event a great success.
