Md. Tahseen Anam is an experienced professional with a strong background in software engineering and machine learning. He is currently working as a Machine Learning Engineer at H&M in Stockholm, Sweden, where he has been employed for nearly four years. His journey at H&M began as a Platform Engineer in 2023, where he played a key role in developing templated solutions for stakeholders, automating workflows, and optimizing data product pipelines. By June 2024, he transitioned into his current role as a Machine Learning Engineer, where he specializes in empowering cross-functional teams, enhancing operational efficiency, and optimizing machine learning pipelines.
His expertise extends to various aspects of machine learning, including the creation of reference architectures, utilizing platforms like Databricks, guiding AI use case teams, and integrating DevOps practices into machine learning ecosystems. He has been actively involved in automating infrastructure provisioning using Terraform and streamlining resource deployment, helping his team achieve significant improvements in delivery speed and cost-efficiency. Tahseen is also a Scrum Master, ensuring smooth project management and agile development within his team.
In addition to his work at H&M, he has contributed to several other organizations. He completed his Master's Thesis at Uppsala University, focusing on applying Machine Learning and Computer Vision in the domain of wood image analysis. The primary goal of his research was to leverage Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) to enhance the efficiency of wood-cutting processes.
Tahseen's academic background includes a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Uppsala University , where he gained extensive knowledge in the areas of software engineering, machine learning, and data science. Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST) in Dhaka, Bangladesh
Throughout his career, he has worked in various roles, including Software Developer at DataSoft Systems Bangladesh Limited where he developed banking application modules using the Django framework and Python. He also contributed to projects as a DevOps Engineer ataamira.ca and a Frontend Developer at Brightbee
