East West University Investment and Finance Club started its journey way back on August 1, 2016, with a tagline of “SHAPE YOUR DIGITS” with the aim of providing a platform for grabbing all opportunities which enhance the skills academically, professionally, and socially among the undergraduate students. In order to introduce the students to the competitive world of Finance, East West University In

THE PITCHERS- AN INTER UNIVERSITY PITCH DECK BASED TRAINING AND COMPETITION, SPONSORED BY MASBA ELITE BUSINESS APP AND POWERED BY HUMAYRA.COM.BD
East West University investment and finance club organized their first national pitch deck-based training and competition "The Pitchers" Sponsored by "MASBA- Elite Business App" and Powered by Humayra.com.bd. The Partners were respectively: Strategic Partner- BYLC Ventures, Broadcasting Media Partner- SOMOY TV, English Media Partner- The Financial Express, Radio Partner- Radio Today 89.6FM, Leadership Partner- ASL Systems, Refreshment Partner- ACME, Outreach Partner- YSSE, IT Partner- Quantum, and Voucher Partner- Cielo Rooftop. We aim to nurture entrepreneurs through the competitive environment of competition by providing students with the opportunity to showcase their business pitches and foster their entrepreneurial spirit. The teams were composed of 2-3 members from the same university. Two workshops (Online), One workshop (Offline), and Three rounds were conducted during the event. The top 24 ideas from among 127 teams passed the first round and advanced to the second. For the final round, 9 teams were selected by the judges. We have finally narrowed down the top 3 candidates. BUP's Team Curly Fries was the 2nd runner-up, BUP's Team Quintessential 1st was the runner-up, and East West University's Team Peora finished first. The first ever Roadshows were conducted in Dhaka University, BUP, BRAC University, North South University, ARMY IBA, and many more. FINXCEL- AN EXCEL BASED TRAINING AND COMPETITION
Apart from the traditional Excel based training, in 2022 the Finxcel had been redesigned and renamed by FinXcel- An Excel based Training and Competition. Top 3 Winners among 150 participants from East West University undergraduate students achieved Prize Bonds, Free Entry in CareerX Program of BYLC, Exclusive gift hampers, Certificate and many more goodies. The Partners were respectively: Strategic Partner- BYLC, Broadcasting Media Partner- Somoy TV and English Media Partner- The Business Standard. THE FINTECH WEEK 2021 – A SERIES OF LEARNING FESTIVAL FOR FINANCE AND TECHNOLOGY ENTHUSIASTS
To acknowledge the 5th Glorious Year, EWU IFC launched for the very first time ever in history of Bangladesh, a brand-new Nation’s Biggest Virtual Knowledge Sharing Event: The FinTech Week 2021. This series webinar program has been primarily designed for the youths, students and young professionals bringing investors, national and international corporate personnel who are highly experienced working in Financial Technology sectors to improve the knowledge of Financial Technologies as well as create the awareness of Fintech Industry by sharing their real-life experiences. The program was a combination of 9 different sessions covering emerging sectors of the Financial Technology Industry providing insights from expert professionals and investors about the revolutionary change maker industry. THE PITCHERS – AN INTRA UNIVERSITY PITCH DECK BASED TRAINING AND COMPETITION
The activities of the whole program aim to give the students entrepreneurial passion & the stage to showcase their business pitch and harbor growth through the competitive environment of a competition. The competition had 3 Workshops and 2 Battle rounds. Young Enthusiastic Pitch Deck experts conducted the workshops. The main motive of the workshop was to grasp the creative start up ideas and acquiring funding methods. During the training session trainers shared their real-life Pitch Deck experience through storytelling and sorted out the common mistakes done by the Entrepreneurs. Among 26 Teams best 6 Teams moved towards the Final round. 3 Teams won the title of “BEST PITCHERS”. This competition came out as a successful trump card for the club. FINXCEL – A MS EXCEL WORKSHOP FOR FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING
FINXCEL is one of the most hyped MS Excel Workshop based on Finance and Accounting arranged by East West University Investment and Finance Club. Based on its growing demand, every year EWUIFC organize FINXCEL. Mostly Basic, Intermediate and Advance level Excel training is offered by the trainers. This workshop has been designed to boost the Excel knowledge among the students of East West University. During the workshop, Leading Excel masters of the town supervise the overall training sessions. TRAIN 2 PRO – A MEMBERS’ DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS OF EWU IFC
Members Development training programs are always among the popular events of East West University Investment and Finance Club to progress the comprehensive skills among the fellow club members. East West University Investment and Finance Club is preparing their members for the competitive job market. The topics for the training programs were Significance of a well-made CV/ Resume with Cover Letter, Introduction of Financial Institutions and Stock Market, Importance of Linkedin profile, Personal Networking, Self-branding, Interpersonal Skills and many more. FINTALK 4.0: EXPLORER OF FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGY
This series webinar program was designed to broaden the knowledge boundaries by providing valuable real-life information that is equally important to academic learnings by having an in-depth insight into some important areas of Finance. The aim of this program was to introduce and converse in-depth about how Finance is evolving day to day with the blessings of technology and how Fintech will become one of the most relevant points of difference in the future of Financial markets and its services. FINTEGIC – AN INTRA UNIVERSITY FINANCIAL PLANNING AND BUSINESS STRATEGY COMPETITION
This competition is designed for the competition enthusiasts to hunt the future leaders of the financial world. The competition had 3 rounds such as Online Case Submission, Business Strategy Exhibitions and Final Presentation. Both graduate and undergraduate students can participate in this competition. Great business minds, awesome finance freaky and mastermind excelists participates in this competition who get excellent opportunity showcase or develop their skills on MS Excel, Business analysis and Finance. FINOLOGY – A FINANCIAL QUIZ COMPETITION
The main idea for conducting the competition was to prepare the candidates for the upcoming written exams and viva for job recruitment purpose. CORPORATE VISITS AND INDUSTRIAL TOURS
East West University Investment and Finance Club sets out corporate visits and Industrial tours for the Finance and Accounting background students of East West University. 7 corporate visits and 4 industrial tours were successfully completed with a mission of giving the students Real Corporate World experience and consciousness. Apart from the above-mentioned events, different workshops, seminars and webinars were also governed by East West University Investment and Finance Club such as
•Career Guidance with NCC Bank where students get in touch with the higher personnel to know about the future job perspective eventually.
•Accounts Management System Training with CodersTrust.
•Supply Chain Finance - The Forefront of Global Trade which creates a platform to gain a practical understanding on the challenges of working capital management in the supply chain.
•World Investors Week was also celebrated to encourage individual investors and Investment professionals to raise awareness about the importance of investor education and protection.
