A 3-day residential Training of Trainers for Project JAAGORON brought together 17 Project Officers and Resource Persons from BYLC, YPSA, and Agrogoti Sangstha at BYLC headquarters.

The training prepared participants to facilitate JAAGORON’s two core in-person curricula: the 3-day Youth Group (YG) Training and the Youth-Led Organisation (YLO) Co-Creation Camp. Through hands-on practice and collaborative learning, participants strengthened their content knowledge, facilitation skills, and confidence to deliver these sessions across project locations.

The was conducted by Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC) for its consortium partners under Nagorikata: Civic Engagement Fund (CEF) Program, funded by Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh, High Commission of Canada to Bangladesh, and the European Union in Bangladesh, with technical support from GFA Consulting Group GmbH (GFA).

Congratulations to Ejaj Ahmad, Founder and Executive Chairperson of Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC), on completing the Sydney Marathon today, his 6th marathon and 4th World Major!

He is a role model for Bangladeshi youth in balancing work with health and fitness. Through the BYLC Run, organized for over a decade, he has inspired thousands of Bangladeshis to take up running and healthier living.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮, 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗮 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘂𝗺𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿?

BBLTJ 51 kicked off last Friday at BYLC HQ in Dhaka, bringing together 93 students from diverse educational backgrounds to learn, collaborate, and grow alongside one another.

Over the coming weeks, they will explore leadership through teamwork, conversations, challenges, and hands-on experiences, learning from different perspectives while building the skills to take greater responsibility for themselves and their communities.

As part of BYLC’s ongoing training with ShopUp, the Bangladesh Business and Disability Network (BBDN) facilitated a sensitization session focused on disability inclusion in the workplace. The session explored how organizations can bridge gaps in the labor market by better connecting the education, skills, and potential of persons with disabilities with real organizational needs and employment opportunities.

Through conversations like these, we hope to encourage workplaces where opportunities are more accessible and every individual has the chance to contribute and thrive.

On August 4, 2026, local government and NGO representatives, women community leaders, and teachers gathered at the Ward No. 3 Councillor’s Office in Mirpur 10 to discuss youth leadership, civic participation, and youth-led local development. Participating stakeholders committed to support Project JAAGORON and help identify young people who can actively contribute to community development initiatives.

Under the Nagorikata: Civic Engagement Fund (CEF), funded by Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh, High Commission of Canada to Bangladesh, and the European Union in Bangladesh, and technically supported by GFA Consulting Group GmbH (GFA), Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC) is conducting youth profiling activities as part of Project JAAGORON.

Through this initiative, we are learning about young people’s interests, experiences, and leadership potential while connecting them with opportunities to strengthen their leadership skills. These conversations are preparing them for foundational leadership learning focused on civic awareness, rights and responsibilities, and active civic participation. This will equip them to engage with community issues and contribute to meaningful local change.

As of August 2026, Project JAAGORON has reached more than 169 young people across nine unions of Manikganj Sadar Upazila: Nabagram, Betila-Mitora, Gorpara, Dighi, Jagir, Atigram, Krishnapur, Putail, and Vararia.

The discussions gathered community perspectives on strengthening youth leadership, civic participation, and youth-led local development.
