When young people understand their rights, raise their voices, and actively participate in their communities, they help drive the change they wish to see.

From September 26–28, 2026, Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC) organized three Community-Based Youth Leadership Trainings under Project JAAGORON in Dighi Union of Manikganj Sadar Upazila, Mirzapur Union of Gazipur Sadar, and Sarulia, Ward No. 68, Demra, under Dhaka South City Corporation.

The trainings brought together 45 young participants, with 15 attending at each location. The sessions focused on leadership, civic rights and responsibilities, civic engagement, social inclusion, local government, advocacy, critical thinking, problem-solving, responsible social media use, and strategies for local development. Participants also developed action plans and prepared to conduct peer-led sessions reaching at least 20 additional youth in their communities.

Project JAAGORON is implemented by Bangladesh Youth Leadership Center (BYLC) and its consortium partners under Nagorikata: Civic Engagement Fund (CEF) Program, funded by Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh, Canada, and the European Union in Bangladesh, with technical support from GFA Consulting Group.
