BAETE Accreditation Journey: Insights from Experts
The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Uttara University organized a mentoring session titled “BAETE Accreditation Journey: Insights from Experts,” focusing on the accreditation preparedness of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Department of Textile Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering and Department of Computer Science and Engineering.
The session was conducted by Prof. Md Abdur Razzak, PhD, Director, IQAC, Independent University, Bangladesh, who shared valuable insights on BAETE accreditation criteria, the BAETE Manual V3.0 and the key differences between Manual V3.0 and the previous V2.1. He also discussed course files for theory and sessional courses, including courses involving open-ended and complex engineering problems, question moderation processes and forms, mid-term and final-term examination question formats, guidelines for thesis work and course documentation related to industrial attachment.
The session was attended by Honorable Member of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of Uttara University, along with all PSAC members from the four departments of the School of Science and Engineering and School of Civil, Environment and Industrial Engineering, and the full IQAC team led by Director Prof. Dr. ASM Shahabuddin.
The mentoring session provided practical guidance on enhancing academic practices and assisting the departments in their pursuit of BAETE accreditation.
