We are pleased to announce that Mr. Saiduzzaman Khan, a distinguished humanitarian and development professional, will be joining us tomorrow for a special lecture titled: Integrating Climate Change into Development Project Design: Realities, Risks, and Resilience in Bangladesh
Mr. Khan brings a wealth of experience from his extensive work in program development, disaster risk reduction, and climate-responsive humanitarian strategies, both in Bangladesh and internationally. He has worked with global actors like the World Bank, UN agencies, JICA, DFID, and the European Union, and currently serves as Programme Development & Quality Lead at the Danish Refugee Council.
He holds academic training from MIT, Johns Hopkins, and has advanced degrees in Public Policy and Disaster Management. His lecture will offer valuable insights on how to design development projects that are both climate-informed and community-centered.
The lecture is mainly meant for the participants of the Course MDS 543: Climate Change and Development. However, students and faculties of Development Studies and from other departments and streams are invited to attend the session.
The lecture take place: 11:30am - 1:00pm, 25th July, Conference Room, Department of Development Studies, University of Dhaka, Social Science Faculty building, Level 5.
