A Grand Welcome, A Heartfelt Farewell and A Big Leap Forward at JnU Pharmacy!
On September 8, 2026, the Department of Pharmacy at Jagannath University (JnU) held a reception at the central auditorium for its 16th and 17th batches and a farewell for the 11th batch.
The event was presided over by Department Chairman Professor Dr. Sukumar Bepary, with opening remarks delivered by Organizing Convener Professor Dr. Biswajit Kumar Biswas. Special Guest Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Alim, Dean of the Faculty of Life and Earth Sciences, attended alongside distinguished guests from government and industry, including BPSC Secretariat Secretary Md. Fazlur Rahman, Unimed Unihealth Executive Director Muhammad Shamim Alam Khan, ACI PLC Director Muhammad Zahid Al Beruni and Synovia Pharma PLC Director Renessa Ahmed.
A major highlight of the day was the official inauguration of the department's newly upgraded, state of the art pharmacy laboratory, designed to advance hands-on training and student research. The event also showcased student talent through an insightful poster competition with prize distributions and the presentation of commemorative crests to both incoming and outgoing batches. The memorable celebration concluded on a high note with a lively cultural performance organized by the students.
