Nearly 4,000 years ago, Prophet Ibrahim (AS) raised the blade to sacrifice his beloved son in complete obedience to the almighty Allah. The moment that became the foundation of one of the most sacred traditions in Islam and the spirit of Eid Ul Adha.

Qurbani is not about the sacrifice of blood or animals. Rather it is about devotion, sincerity, compassion and the willingness to let go of what we hold closest to our hearts for the sake of Allah. It teaches us the value of taqwa, spirituality and inspires us to embrace it in our daily lives for the satisfaction of Allah and to earn His blessings.

As the year passes and the glorious occasion of Eid Ul Adha looms over us once again, 𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗖 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 (𝗕𝗨𝗖𝗟𝗖) extends its warmest wishes to everyone on this blessed day. May you and your family be surrounded by love and laughter on this joyous festival and may Almighty Allah accept your sincerity and sacrifices.

With deep grief, we mourn the tragic passing of Labib Wadi Sopan and Azwad Tawsif (RS 68), undergraduate students from the Department of CSE at BRAC University who lost their lives in a tragic incident in Munshiganj on 22nd May.
Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un.

Their untimely passing is an immense shock to all of us and an irreplaceable loss for the entire BRAC University community. As valued members of the BRAC University, their absence will be deeply felt by classmates, teachers, friends and all the members. Their memories will forever remain in our hearts and they will always be remembered with love and prayers.

BRAC University Communication and Language Club (BUCLC) extends its heartfelt condolences and prayers for the deceased and to their families, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. May Allah grant them eternal peace in Jannat-ul-Firdaus and bless their families with strength, patience and solace in the midst of their grief.

The tragic and heartbreaking death of Ramisa Akter has shaken the whole nation deeply. A child whose life had only just begun was subjected to unimaginable cruelty, leaving behind a grieving family and a nation in sorrow.

This incident once again highlights the urgent need for stronger protection, stricter enforcement of the law and a safer society for every girl and woman in Bangladesh. May no child ever again become a victim of such inhumanity.

BUCLC strongly condemns this heinous crime and demands the strictest punishment for those responsible. While no justice can ever bring Ramisa back or erase the pain her family now carries, accountability is essential to uphold humanity, dignity, and the safety of every child.

For those of us who have had the privilege of a mother’s presence in our lives, we cannot deny what a blessing it truly is. As we face the storms of life every day, our loving mothers remain the safe harbor we can always lean on.

A mother not only loves her child with a depth beyond words or measure but she also becomes whatever her child needs her to be. She is the one who acts as a chef when her children crave delicious food, a teacher when they struggle with homework, a therapist whenever her children feel overwhelmed, a judge to them for seeking fairness, a motivational speaker if they lose hope, a nurse during sickness and so much more.

This Mother’s Day, 𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗖 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 (𝗕𝗨𝗖𝗟𝗖) pays tribute to all the superwomen around the world whose countless roles cannot simply be defined by the word “mother.” May every child learn to love, appreciate, and respect their mother as she truly deserves and may society acknowledge the depth and complexity of a mother’s role in standing her child’s life.

On this May day, BUCLC honors and appreciates every individual who have dedicated their labor, struggle and their sweat, tears and sacrifices to build the world we live in today. From household work to agriculture, fashion industry, every field of labor contributes not only to society but also to the national economy. These tireless souls of all professions actively or passively benefit our lives and are worthy of dignity. In every sphere of our lives, they continue to enrich and make the world better with their contribution each day.

On the remembrance of Sir Fazle Hasan Abed's 90th Birth Anniversary, BUCLC celebrates the life of a visionary whose humanity and persistence have transformed millions of lives. His actions continue to inspire generations and illuminate lives across the country with rays of hope.

Despite his departure, the legendary legacy and philosophy of Sir Abed still remain for the future of Bangladesh.

𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗖 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 (𝗕𝗨𝗖𝗟𝗖) pays heartfelt tribute to Sir Abed for his lifelong work in poverty reduction, education, and rural development. Through his remarkable journey, he unlocked millions of pathways through initiatives focused on microfinance, community healthcare, primary education and empowering marginalized communities. BUCLC commits to carrying forward his dream of a Bangladesh free from poverty and full of opportunities for all.

Broadcast 26.1 marked the beginning of a new journey for everyone present. The fresher’s orientation event successfully brought together new faces, diverse talents, and shared enthusiasm. An atmosphere of connection was created with warmth. The contributions of the previous panel were acknowledged with gratitude as they formally passed down the torch to the new panel while symbolizing continuity and growth.

Sincere appreciation to each individual for their participation and engagement to contribute over this successful occasion. It was a celebration of new stories and endless memories ahead.
