ICCCAD is seeking a dynamic and motivated Project Officer – Youth under the CAP-RES (Capacity Strengthening of Multi-Actors to Limit Climate Change Impacts and Enhance Resilience) Programme.
We are looking for a passionate professional interested in youth engagement, climate action, capacity strengthening, stakeholder coordination, and project implementation.
📌 Position: Project Officer – Youth (01)
📍 Location: Dhaka, with frequent field visits across Bangladesh
⏳ Contract: Initial four-month, full-time contract, with the possibility of extension
📅 Application Deadline: August 26, 2026

Who can apply?
✔️ Candidates with a master’s degree in Climate Science, Environmental Studies, Disaster Management, Geography, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field
✔️ Candidates with at least three years of experience in project implementation, youth engagement, climate action, or a related field
✔️ Professionals with demonstrated experience working with young people, youth-led organisations, or community-based initiatives
✔️ Candidates with experience in organising training sessions, workshops, consultations, mentorship activities, or youth-focused events
✔️ Individuals with strong project coordination, communication, documentation, stakeholder-engagement, and English-language skills
✔️ Candidates who can work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and are willing to travel across Bangladesh

Enam ul Haque, Founder of the Bangladesh Bird Club, who came to IUB to talk to us recently, is organizing ‘Citycrow-2025’.

His message is as follows: "We’ll count the crows of Dhaka City on Friday 17 July. Every participant will slowly walk on his selected road (roughly 1-1.5 km) and count all crows as far as he can see. It usually takes 15-20 min, and can be done at any time of the day (better in the morning). The object is to learn the population trends through repeated counting (every 6 months). "
