For those of you who could not make it into the winning list, don't be dishearten as we shall open up more opportunities of similar kind in the future.
However, we would like to share a little bit of our methodology regarding how we judged each article. First, we created two panels: (1) management, (2) judge. The management panel received the articles, removed the author names and attached it to a tag. Then, the annonymous articles were submitted to two judges who independently judged each article.
Unfortunately, about 38% of all submitted articles were directly discarded since they contained high level of plagiarism which was detected using our software. For the articles that passed through our cut-off score, we judged articles based on three criteria:
1. Language (10 marks)
2. Content (10 marks)
3. Impression (10 marks)
Each section was also subdivided for the ease of marking.
The top 10 articles were submitted to our final judge, Sangita Ahmed, Professor, Department of Microbiology, University of Dhaka.
The winners of the competition were decided based on the final average mark.
Throughout the process, the management team has ensured that judge remains clueless about the author's identity in order to avoid any sort of biasness.
We will be publishing the articles in our upcoming magazine. All of the articles will be evaluated by our editorial board and the wirters will Be notified by email. So stay tuned.
Again Congratulations to the winners! ❤️
