🎓 Professor Jude William Jenilo, Acting Vice Chancellor of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh and Chairman of Communication and Journalism Educators’ Network (CJEN), visited the Department of Journalism and Media Studies today for an insightful discussion regarding CJEN membership and future collaboration opportunities.

During the visit, Professor Jenilo also engaged in an open-ended discussion session with JMS students, where they exchanged ideas on journalism education, media ethics, professional networking, and the evolving landscape of media and communication. He also visited the Digital Computer Lab and JMS Podcast Studio, and gave an interview to ADUST TV.

The interactive session inspired students to think critically about their future roles in the media industry and encouraged stronger academic and professional engagement through CJEN initiatives.

🎥✨ JMS Students Explore the Real World of Media at Asia Post!

The Department of Journalism and Media Studies (JMS) proudly participated in the inaugural ceremony of Asia Post, providing students with an exciting opportunity to experience professional media operations firsthand.

A team of 6 JMS students along with 3 faculty members visited the studio and newsroom, where they observed and learned practical aspects of journalism, broadcasting, and newsroom production. The visit offered valuable hands-on exposure to real-time media work and industry practices.

The educational media visit was supervised by our respected faculty members:

Journalism and Media Studies Department is delighted to share that our honorable Advisor, Alamgir Swapan Sir, and student Sumon Shikder are representing the department at the Bangladesh Journalism Conference 2026 at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden today.

Organised by Media Resources Development Initiative (MRDI), this landmark two-day conference brings together journalists, editors, researchers, teachers, students and media experts from home and abroad to discuss the future of journalism and a free, accountable press.

We wish our representatives a productive and inspiring time at and look forward to bringing back new ideas and insights for our classrooms and newsroom practice.
