On behalf of the faculty members, staff, and students of the Department of Anthropology, Jahangirnagar University, we welcome you! The Department of Anthropology in Jahangirnagar University started as the first Anthropology department in Bangladesh. Few visionary people started this department in 1985 and academic session starts from 1986. These are exciting times for Anthropology as the disciplin

e is now widely recognized as an essential source of knowledge for advancements in nearly all spheres of human endeavor. The department has gone through transformations led over the years by the faculty members, staff, students, administrators, and our generous alumni. They have built a strong foundation on which we are now ready to face the challenges ahead. Through excellence in research, teaching, and service our dedicated faculty has distinguished itself in the core areas of research in many related multi-disciplinary areas. Our commitment to excellence is evident in the ever-increasing competitiveness of the students and in the exceptional faculty members who bring to the classroom a wealth of knowledge and the effectively share that expertise with their undergraduate and graduate students. For all this reason this is considered as the best department of anthropology in Bangladesh.

আসসালামু আলাইকুম আশা করছি সবাই ভালো আছেন।
আমাদের বিভাগে সাধারণত নবীনবরণ ও বিদায় অনুষ্ঠান ব্যতীত আর কোনো সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠান আয়োজন হয় না। তাই এবার আমরা বর্তমান ও প্রাক্তন শিক্ষার্থীদের একসাথে নিয়ে একটি ভিন্নধর্মী আয়োজন করতে যাচ্ছি—
"এন্থ্রো নাইট"।

📅 সম্ভাব্য তারিখ: ২১ আগস্ট (বৃহস্পতিবার)
বৃহস্পতিবার বেছে নেওয়ার কারণ— ক্যাম্পাসের বাইরে থাকা প্রাক্তন সিনিয়ররাও যেন সহজে অংশ নিতে পারেন।

🍽 খাবারের তালিকা: পোলাও,খাসির রেজালা, রোস্ট, ডাল,কোমল পানীয় (মোজো,ক্লেমন)

🎭 বিশেষ আয়োজন: সাংস্কৃতিক সন্ধ্যা

জাহাঙ্গীরনগর বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় নৃবিজ্ঞান অ্যালামনাই এসোসিয়েশনের সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক, জাবি ৩৭ ব্যাচের জাফর সাদিকের আম্মা আজ ভোরে ইন্তেকাল করেছেন। ইন্না লিল্লাহি ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহে রাজেউন। সবাই খালাআম্মার বিদেহী আত্মার মাগফেরাতের জন্য দোওয়া করবেন। আজ বাদ জোহর তার জানাজার নামাজ অনুষ্ঠিত হবে তার বাসা সংলগ্ন মসজিদে।

আমি মহামান্যকে নিয়ে বেজায় চিন্তিত!
পদত্যাগপত্র গ্রহণ এবং সেইসব পদে নতুন নিয়োগ দিতে দিতে তিনি না আবার অসুস্থ্য হয়ে পরেন!

আচ্ছা, পৃথিবীতে এর আগে এতো অল্প সময়ে রাষ্ট্রীয় বিভিন্ন পদ থেকে বিপুল সংখ্যক ব্যক্তির ইস্তফার নজির আছে কী? না থাকলে, গ্রিনিচবুকে রেকর্ডভুক্তির আবেদন করা উচিত কিনা!

যাদের এর আগে বিভিন্ন ইস্যুতে গ্রিনিচবুকে রেকর্ডভুক্তির অভিজ্ঞতা আছে তারা এই সুযোগ কাজে লাগাতে পারেন😜
