Over the years, our debaters have proudly represented Bangladesh at the World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC) journeying to countries as diverse as Ireland, Turkey, and South Africa, carrying not just their words but the spirit of Bangladesh to the global stage. On home ground, we’ve secured numerous national titles, winning across both English and Bangla divisions, while continuously participating in and hosting some of the country’s most prestigious tournaments such as Ascension, Wordplay & Pre-Worlds. Beyond competition, IUBDC has taken debate beyond campus, conducting outreach programs and workshops across Bangladesh to nurture the next generation of critical thinkers and leaders. At our core, we believe debate is more than just competition, it’s a way to think, connect, and grow. It teaches you to analyze critically, listen deeply, and speak with intention. Through debate, our members learn to question assumptions, defend ideas with logic, and adapt under pressure, developing clarity, confidence, and conviction along the way.
