Project Title:

“STOPPAGE OF CARE”
“A modular, community-embedded transit shelter that turns waiting into an act of care for people, animals, and the city.”

The project presents an innovative approach to "transit shelter design", reimagining an everyday public space as an inclusive and community-oriented environment that responds to the needs of people, animals, and the urban context.

Being recognized among the reflects Palash’s creativity, architectural thinking, and sensitivity toward socially responsible design.

Following our exploration of Dhaka’s historic mosques, our architectural heritage journey continued with a visit to _one of the city’s most significant -era landmarks.

The visit allowed us to observe the fort not only as a historical monument, but also as a composition of architecture, landscape, spatial hierarchy, scale, proportion, circulation, and ornamentation.Moving through its courtyards, gardens, gateways, and architectural elements helped us understand how the Mughal approach to space, enclosure, symmetry, and landscape shaped the character of the fort.

Through direct observation and on-site experience, the visit became an opportunity to connect historical knowledge with architectural understanding and to explore how heritage spaces communicate history through their ,built form and spatial experience.

A continuation of our journey to read, observe, and understand the architectural heritage of Dhaka through the spaces that have carried its stories across generations.

The Daffodil International University Architecture Club DIUAC is excited to announce the first session of “Arch Talk" Series in Department Of Architecture, DIU - an initiative where our respected lecturers and professors share their thesis projects, academic work, research, and professional experiences with students.

In this session, one of our esteemed lecturer Istiak Ansary Kabbo will be presenting his Thesis project- "Interlaced Fabric: Revitalizing Kamalapur's Urban Transit Dynamics"
sharing the ideas, design process, and experiences behind his work with the students.

On 23 August 2026,the Level 2, Term 2 students of the Department of Architecture participated in an academic case study visit to as part of their Mosque Design Project.

The visit provided the students with an opportunity to examine the mosque’s architectural principles, spatial organization, material expression, natural lighting, ventilation, structural approach, and contextual relationship through direct observation and on-site study.

The academic visit was conducted under the guidance of Ar.Ziaul Sharif and Ar.Nowshin Lamisa Chowdhury,Course Teachers, Department of Architecture. The experience contributed to strengthening the students’ understanding of contemporary mosque architecture and translating architectural observations into their ongoing academic design process.
