On 16 August 2026, the DIUAC under the auspices of the Department of Architecture, Daffodil International University, successfully hosted the Freshers’ Reception "অরুনিমা ২০২৬ "extending a warm and gracious welcome to the students of Level 1, Term 1.The event was thoughtfully organized by the students of Level-1, Term-2 (স্হাপকল্পন২৬১)with the support and coordination of DIUAC.

The occasion was honored by the esteemed presence of Prof. Khairul Enam Sir, Head of the Department Ar. Sheikh Mahmud Rezwan,Associate Head Ar. Nazmul Haque Nayeem,Ar. Asif Turza, along with the respected faculty members and students of the Department of Architecture.

Beyond a celebration, the event served as a meaningful occasion to "welcome the newest members of the department, foster a sense of belonging, and strengthen the bonds within the Architecture community".The warmth, enthusiasm, and collective participation of the faculty and students transformed the gathering into a memorable beginning for the freshers.

The successful completion of the program was made possible through the" , , and efforts of the organizers, faculty members, and students".

We extend our sincere best wishes to our newest members as they embark upon their academic journey in Architecture. May this new chapter be filled with "knowledge, creativity, inspiration, and meaningful experiences".

Site Visit | 5-1 Design Studio

As part of the 5-1 Design Studio for the course ,the students of the Department of Architecture, Daffodil International University, undertook an educational site visit to under the guidance of studio instructors Ar.Asif Turza & Ar. Istiak Ansary Kabbo.

The visit focused on understanding the planning, spatial organization, circulation, commercial zoning, and architectural strategies of a contemporary multi-storied shopping complex. As the proposed project incorporates a ,the students also visited Cineplex to study its spatial requirements, functional organization, circulation, user experience, and integration within a commercial complex.

The visit provided valuable practical insights that will contribute to the students’ ongoing design development and strengthen the connection between academic learning and real-world architectural practice.

PROJECT TITLE: DOTS IN SPACE
LEVEL-1 TERM -2

The project began with observing nature to identify unique dot compositions. After selecting a suitable pattern, it was printed on an A3 sheet and traced. Using the dot sizes and arrangements as inspiration, we created a new composition through our own interpretation. The final artwork was then framed for presentation.

স্থাপত্যের জগতে নতুন স্বপ্ন, নতুন ভাবনা ও সৃজনশীলতার পথচলায় আমাদের "নবীন শিক্ষার্থীদের স্বাগত জানাতে"স্থাপত্য বিভাগের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত হতে যাচ্ছে "অরুনিমা২০২৬"নবীনবরণ উৎসব।

স্থাপত্য কেবল নির্মাণের শিল্প নয়; এটি মানুষের স্বপ্ন, সৃজনশীলতা, সংস্কৃতি ও ভবিষ্যৎকে ধারণ করার এক অনন্য মাধ্যম। সেই স্থাপত্যযাত্রার প্রথম পদক্ষেপে আমাদের নবীনদের সঙ্গে প্রবীণদের অভিজ্ঞতা ও ভালোবাসার এক সুন্দর মিলন ঘটুক—এই প্রত্যাশায় আয়োজিত হচ্ছে এই বিশেষ আয়োজন।

On 11 August 2026, the Department of Architecture, Daffodil International University had the opportunity to visit & for an engaging session of architectural dialogue, knowledge sharing and professional exchange.

Accompanied by faculty members Oishi Nur and Shamim Ahmed, our students had the privilege of interacting with Ar.Rizvi Hassan, Ar. Khwaja Fatmi and Ar. Zareen Sharif , who shared valuable insights from their professional journeys, practices and experiences in the field of architecture.

The visit provided our students with an inspiring platform to exchange ideas, raise questions and reflect on the evolving challenges and opportunities within contemporary architectural practice.

The Department of Architecture, DIU, remains committed to creating meaningful opportunities for students to connect academic learning with professional practice through dialogue, exposure and shared experiences.

We sincerely appreciate "Studio Local Orchestra & Aronnyojon" for their warm hospitality and for facilitating such a meaningful and inspiring exchange.

A meaningful afternoon filled with ideas, insights, and conversations on sustainability and green architecture. 🌱
A special note of gratitude to our Keynote Speaker, Ar. Nazli Hossain, for sharing her valuable knowledge and perspectives, and for making the session an enriching learning experience for all of us.
We were also honoured to have Professor Md. Khairul Enam, Mr. Sheikh Muhammad Rezwan, and Anika Nawar with us, whose presence and insights added great value to the seminar.
Through ECOVERSE, we had the opportunity to learn, exchange ideas, and reflect on how we, as future architects, can contribute towards a more sustainable built environment.
