It was officially established on 15 January 2015 under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, in collaboration with the Army Welfare Trust (AWT). The institute operates under the direct supervision of the Bangladesh Army and maintains academic affiliation with the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). Army IBA, Savar, aims to produce competent, ethical, and dynamic business leaders who are capable of contributing meaningfully to both national and global economies. On 23 June 2026, a large group of students from the Army Institute of Business Administration (Army IBA), Savar, visited the National Parliament of Bangladesh, invited by the Honorable MP Saiful Alam Khan Milon (Dhaka-12).

During the visit, the students observed the afternoon session of Parliament and watched the general discussion on the National Budget for FY 2026–2027. This gave them a valuable opportunity to learn about the country's parliamentary system and democratic process.

The visit became more inspiring when two Hon’ble Members of Parliament interacted with the students. They encouraged them to become honest, capable, and responsible leaders of the future. They also highlighted the important role of the younger generation in building a better Bangladesh.

The students also visited the iconic Parliament Library and learned about its significance.

Faculty members and administrative heads of the institute, including the Director, accompanied the students throughout the visit.

Army IBA Savar remains committed to providing meaningful learning opportunities beyond the classroom and developing leadership, integrity, and awareness of national institutions among its students.

Farewell Ceremony of the BBA 10th Batch at Army IBA, Savar

The Farewell Ceremony for the students of the BBA 10th Batch was held in a warm and memorable atmosphere at Army IBA, Savar on 18 January. To mark the occasion, the Cultural Club of Army IBA, Savar organized a captivating cultural program that added vibrancy and joy to the event, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Director, faculty members, officers, and students of Army IBA, Savar. During the program, the Director of Army IBA, Savar delivered an inspiring and insightful address, sharing valuable guidance with the graduating students as they prepare to embark on the next chapter of their academic and professional journeys. Army IBA Savar Production and Operations Management Club (POC), Marketing and Innovation Club (MIC), and Sports Club Successfully Organize Impactful Events.

On 15 June 2026, the clubs of the Army Institute of Business Administration (Army IBA), Savar, successfully organized a series of impactful events aimed at enhancing students’ academic, professional, and extracurricular development.

Production and Operations Management Club (POC) successfully hosted “Buckle Up 3.0”, a day-long learning initiative designed to prepare students for academic and professional success. The program featured insightful sessions on global education opportunities, essential corporate skills, and project management, equipping participants with valuable knowledge and practical career guidance.

Marketing and Innovation Club (MIC) organized “BizMark – Intra-University Business Strategy Competition,” bringing together 25 teams from various BBA batches. Through rigorous business case analyses and strategic presentations, students demonstrated their analytical and problem-solving abilities. The competition provided a valuable platform for experiential learning and business excellence, receiving recognition from national media outlet Kaler Kantho.

Meanwhile, the Army IBA Sports Club celebrated Club Day 2026 with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship. The event featured seven engaging activities, including Futsal, Short Pitch Cricket League, Darts, FIFA Quiz, and other recreational games. The celebration fostered teamwork, friendship, and a vibrant sense of community among students.

These successful events reflect Army IBA Savar’s continued commitment to developing future leaders through academic excellence, innovation, skill development, and holistic student engagement.
